Welcome to Gaia! ::

Holy s**t. Thank you.

I hated these already, just for being an annoyance, but wow. :/
Yeah, I don't know WHY Gaia decided this would be a good idea, but I hope they get rid of it, or at least screen much more carefully.

The game fly one is a scam! It's not the real site, just a info phiser. Don't use that one.

I used the Netflix one, it charge my account, but apparently they'll put my money back. They just do that to see if the account is legit, if they don't put my money back I'll contact my bank and Netflix. But yes the netflix one is legit.
More like siv this crap... Honestly does no one on the team of "ideas to attract business" use the internet? Common sense tells you most of this will destroy your banking aswell as (most likely) computer's future.

It is very common for companies to do a 1$ - 5$ charge to check if an account is active, they should always refund that money. Thanks for the info on the Gamefly stuff, I added it to the first post.

Can anyone else give me a confirmation on the Gamefly one?

It scares me.

I'm not clicking on any of those offers, ever.
Has anyone gotten their gaia cash for any of the cell phone ones? I did two, and unsubscribed via text after submitting my pin and finishing the registration, and am yet to receive anything. =/

There is another thread about whether or not people received the GC, and if I recall, those that immediately unsubscribed got nothing.
New news from the frontlines, the netflix and such trials must become payed accounts for Gcash to e issued.
Gaia must be really short on funds if they're doing this. Doesn't seem like something they'd normally go for, seems like an act of desperation. Maybe they're going bankrupt? Not like they'd tell us.

I hate to feed rumors or cause unjust speculation, but frankly.. I wondered the exact same thing. Something is just very off and wrong about this.

Here, I suck at banners, but I made this ugly little thing. I guess it'll serve until someone more talented can make a better one.

:O Omg Anne, Thank you so much! I will add this to my sig and to my second post!
Here's something I'd like to share with you guys: there is a Firefox addon called "Web of Trust" it's an addon that judges the trustworthiness of sites based on user ratings. The ratings of each site fall into 4 categories: Trustworthiness, Vendor Reliability, Privacy, and Child Safety. Sites like Amazon.com and Gaia will rank high, and give you free access throughout the site. Any site that ranks low or has an unknown status will bring up a warning over the site and tell you what's up.

Nearly all of these s**t offers have malware and other crap.

Nvm. Checked on the ones that might be legit, and they're all poorly rated. The Netflix and Gamefly ones aren't actually offered through the actual sites. They're all 3rd party and awful.
