simply enough, they will call the cops and even running, it gets boring out. theres nothing to do outside and even if you do have a place that you can crash, someone is just going to go search there anyways. even unknown places, if they find out, the person who's living with ya is just going to go to jail since they will think they kidnapped you in the first place. but if you still want to do it, you're just going to end up in the news as a missing individual. good luck running away though

Since you're a minor, then yes; you're parents could call the cops and make a police report on you being a runaway, it won't however, be a missing persons' report since that only applies to people who have been taken from their will. The cops will also ask your parents where you would most likely be around and search for you.

You won't go to juvenile hall, but if you do get caught then you will be taken into custody and brought back to either your parents or to the police station where your parents will be informed to pick you up.

As far as how to go about running away, well, you're on your on.

I agree with everything there, but just as a side note, try not to run away at night unless you have someone to drive you or you can drive yourself. Night time isnt really the safest time to be outside no matter where you are, so just be careful.

Police now trace pay phones, so that's no use. Running away is pointless, what you did to do is figure out your goals in life. Hate it? Deal with it, you have to make the best of it.

Dear, don't do it.
I did this...and I lost my family because of it. I left at 17, and I am 21...and only a few months ago they even spoke to me.

You won't go to juvenile detention, but you will probably be monitored and police probably will be put on alert to make sure you don't do it again.

I ended up okay, but I wouldn't wish it on anyone. Those 'friends' with a place for me, weren't serious.

Plan it out first, make sure you have money for food and other things...make sure you go someplace your parents don't think you would go to....Don't contact them until a week or so to tell them you're ok (give them at least that much, that and thy will worry more and grieve.).
