I really don't think it was necessary to post this online.
Even though the girl's identity is safe, she's going to be embassed and mortified about this for her entire life.
I know she was a bratty b***h and all, but he could of done it behind closed doors.
Posting it on her FaceBook where EVERYONE could see, seems very attention whorey to me.

Whiskey beat you to it.
Anyway, I still think he got his point across.
I've seen the updates in his fb page and his daughter understood her mistake.
She's even been joking about it so.

1) Repeat post.

2) Sounds like you were/are one of those kids who thought of yourself far more than you needed to. That brat of his was totally disrespectful after all he's done for her, tolerated from her, and ignored his prior warning. She complained about having *GASP* chores..! And the language from a girl her age was simply unacceptable from any generation before hers.

Her father paid for that laptop in the first place, and then went on to do all those upgrades for her, so it was technically his to do away with as well.
What was the comment she made on facebook anyway( didn't watch the video )?

And a fantastic way to control her after she ignored his prior warning(s). I have a younger sister who did a bunch of things online she shouldn't have been doing until we snapped and did something similar. She's been an online angel ever since!

I know, I just think that he should of shot the laptop in front of her.
Not videotape it and post it on the internet for the whole world to see.

Lana? I thought she was a lesbian.
Guy's a moron and has obviously never heard of venting. Parents do stupid s**t, children do stupid s**t. Everybody does stupid s**t. Don't understand that? Don't have children.
This thread already has about 8 pages on this subject. And is on the first page.

That aside,

I figured this should be posted from the follow-up article:

(The dad's response to people thinking his punishment is abuse)

Quote:
While the whole point of this story isn’t funny, what is funny to me is how weak some people out there think kids are. Our kids are as strong as we help them to be. My daughter took a horrible day in her life, had her crying fit, then got over it, accepted her punishment, and hasn’t let it (or people’s comments) destroy her strength. I don’t get any credit for that. She’s strong and able to overcome almost anything life throws at her.

If my dad acted like a whiny little baby and shot the s**t out of my laptop over something stupid I posted on facebook, why would I respect him?
Because the last time you spoke s**t about him, he said he'd put a bullet in the laptop if it happened again.

That's why.
I think it was incredibly immature. He's obviously doing this because he's so ego-burned that this girl bitched about him on the internet. He's stooping to a lower level than his 15 year old child and it's really pathetic. He should have pulled up his big boy panties, realized most all teenagers go through periods where they misunderstand authority, and discussed the issue with her civilly instead of acting like a total psychopath in front of the entire internet.

He flips out and acts like a total baby over a comment his daughter made over ******** facebook and shoots up her laptop, and he wonders why his kid has no respect for him?

I dunno what makes me want to shoot myself more, the actual video or the positive reaction it's getting.
