She gave him a knowing smile. "Brenda has not yet answered you has she? Give her a bit of time. It's a big decision."

She read his mind like a book, but he already knew she could do that. He took a deep breath as he looked at the ring that he had bought to her.
"I...what if i'm not good enough for her?"

"Don't go doubting yourself Jack. It's not going to be like it was with Saiko. Brenda loves you, just give her a little time to calm down. Besides, Thorne's already making the wedding arrangements. Not that I agree with her taste in such things..." She huffed, clearly the two alpha females were fighting over how it was to be done.

At first, he felt a bit strange when he heard that Thorne was making arrangements. but he then calmed down a bit, feeling that he had gained alot of her trust. He then looked at Shandi, giving her a less despressing look than before.
"It's not so mutch if she loves me or not. I know she does, but... I keep thinking about all the times I have failed to protect people that I care for and ended up in a horrible state. I want to become strong, but mentaly and physically...but I'm not sure how to achive that"

"You're strong enough hun. You beat Bova didn't you?"

He then remembered the fight he had with the aggresive cow lady. He once again remembered how he used his wits and speed in order to take down a woman who could have ended him with one punch. Sure, he would have loved to forget the humiliating (and thankfully private) aftermath, but something good came out of it.
"Y...Yea...I sure did. Where is she anyway? Ever since i beat her, she hasn't shown herself around here for some reason..."

There were two microphones set on the center stage of the club. Jusu took his guitar and slowly walked towards the stage. When he got up there, he sat down onto the bench, setting himself properly, so that his mouth was near the microphone, and his guitar near enough the second.

She shifted her gaze a bit to watch Jusu properly while at the same time being able to handle Jack as well.

Jusu cleared his throat then knocked onto the mic with his hand to make sure it works. People around the club could hear the bumping and throat-clearing grunt from the loudspeakers.
"Krhm...! Good evening everyone."

Jusu was addressing the room? She shifted so he had her full attention. This she just could not miss.

Jusu took a deep breath, before he spoke again.
"This is actually the first time I've done this so I'll get straight to the point. I'm not sure how many of you knew my long time friend, Nathan "Thirty Thirty" Gardner. But he was a bit like a big brother to me. He passed away a month ago after his long fight against a terminal illness, and I see it not as a justified or the right way to leave the life behind. Thirty Thirty was a bounty hunter to the very end, And I'm sure he would've preferred to pass while in the line of duty."

She nodded in wholehearted agreement.

Indeed, I was. I'm pseudo-staff over at the Halo, or more properly speaking, a regular. I'm pretty much always there. But I check in here once in awhile. I have memories of this place, even in its previous iterations.
