Welcome to Shibuya!
The official chatterbox thread of the Shinryu-kai.


As one of the busiest railway stations in japan, its known for being a huge fashion center and for its exciting nightlife. Its surroundings are laced with department stores, restaurants, and life houses drawing in everyone from all over Japan and beyond its borders. You'll see everything from fashion trendy teens to commuting businessmen. As night falls, be weary of those in shark skin suits. For Shibuya is also the headquarters for Shinryu Corp. They have their hands in many of the local businesses, but no one really knows what goes on in there behind closed doors. Judging by the flashy way they dress and the look the locals give them...

It screams yakuza to me.

What this thread has to offer

We of the Shinryu-kai yakuza wish to recreate the Shibuya experience, mixed in with the fun and excitement of the yakuza.


[Shibuya Station] - under construction

[Contests] - Since Shibuya is known as being a huge fashion center in Japan, we'll be bringing that experience to Gaia. Every month we'll be hosting an avatar contest in order to see who's the best dressed on these streets. Bring out your best duds and get ready to strut your stuff.
Prizes will be awarded to the winners of course.

[Stores] - Have a keen eye for fancy things? Why don't you drop by one of the department stores Shibuya has to offer? Links to various shops will be placed here for your convenience. If you have a shop and would like to get the word out, let us know. We'll post the link up for others to browse through.

[Tokyo Underground] - When the sun goes down, and the neon signs light the streets, you can find some of the best racers showing off their rides. Some ride for pride and glory, while others have more cut throat intentions. Whatever their motivation may be... they hit the streets full force. So bring your "A" game and a load of cash. These railways stay busy all day.
People are constantly coming and going straight into the night.
Drop by and greet the people just coming in, or take the train to a neighboring district.
Just don't forget to find your way back here.

[Hachiko Square]


The statue of Hachiko serves as a popular meet up point for friends here in Shibuya.
Get together with friends and plan what you are going to do next. Or you could just socialize with complete strangers.
Either way, now the locals can have a set place to find friends in towns.
