“Mmm… Haven’t had Lenx in a while. Almost forgot what it tastes like.” The voice had a southern twang. The creature was like an over-muscular male model, but with fangs and claws. He beckoned me, “Come here, darlin’ I won’t hurt you… much.” I took a step forward. He smiled and sunk down into a crouch. He sprung on his kill, me. As soon as his feet left the ground, it was like seeing everything in slow motion. I was too scared to even move. When he was about six feet away, something broadsided him. I couldn’t see who it was because everything was set back to regular speed again. The creature and its attacker fell into the bushes. I took the opportunity and ran. I could hear snarls, grunts and howls fade as I got farther and farther away.
