Nothing really screams to me about this avatar.
Any suggestions for hair style/colour. And why do you find the eyes take away from it?

The colour should be a really light blue or purple, I think, like the light colours they have brought out with the new styles. I'm not that awesome at male avi's so I'm leaving the actual style to you.
You could also add the masquerade bangs for a nice double colour scheme, which I think would look good.

I just never likes those eyes. Off the top of my head, I can't think if any other purple ones, other than the rainbow one from the Oculus Magica, but that could make your avi look... girly.

EDIT: You could always try a pink ducktail style. It would balance out the pink. :3
