So my little brother is a Naruto geek, he's always watching it 24/7. I gave him a bad time about it and he finally asked me to watch it one day, so I did. I was half way through one episode until I was like, "WTF!?" One quote got me...

Ninjas were honorable in their own fasion.

However, the main point of being a ninja was no one was supposed to know you were. (-1 for Naruto)

They had a rank(+1 for Naruto)

They weren't Magic.(-1 for Naruto)

Deception was the most important tool. (-1 for Naruto)

Ninjas Didn't fight! They ran, and distracted. (-2 for Naruto)

Ninjas did not help their own who were captured. (-1 for Nauto)

Kunai aren't weapons, they're actually a gardening tool. (for those that don't get it, It wouldn't be suspisous to see a ninja disguised as a gardener to be carrying one) (-1 for naruto)

Basically I could keep going like this.

My pints are wrong? Where have I gone wrong? How are they honorable in their own way? The only thing I see there that isn't dishonorable is having a rank.

Ninjas Had their won code to follow, which differed from group to group. By following their code, and doing their job successfully they held up their honor.

The American publishers slightly change the script, edit, and cut out alot to make it more appropriate for younger kids, and to diminish the gap between Japanese and American cultures.

It seems to me that the only thing any of you know about Ninjas is what's romantisized about in films. In fact most ninjas weren't like that.

Rather than fight, A ninja would run, and set off some type of distraction.

They'd have shoes that have animal prints on the bottom to avoid being followed, and if anyone was chasing them, theid throw Caltrops on the ground, or use a smoke grenade.

That is of course assuming that they aren't there trying to gather information, in which case they may be disguised as a nearby gardener.
