Player roles in MMOs (Tank, heal and dps)

I don't know about you all but I hate roles in MMOs. Tank, Healers and DPS. Mainly it ruins the game for me from not finding someone of that role or the one in the role is not that good at all. But I really hate the most is when people nag me to do the other role when I don't wanna. They just won't wait for someone else and don't care if your inexperienced. This is the main reason I'm looking forward to Guild wars 2 because they won't have roles at all (Along other good reasons).

Those roles are good in most MMO's, it helps keep a party balanced.
Without those roles and all the classes balanced it's almost a regular do-it-yourself game.
Depending on who you get in your game, and your friends parties will at least be enjoyable.
I personally enjoy magic DPS and healing.
People who try to tell you to change your class for another reason and you don't like it, then don't.
It's your call, not theirs.

I play World of warcraft enough, To be considered a heavy user, I have 5 characters, the highest of which is a level 70 Druid, I love being DPS, But I can tank to as the need arises,

I see fixed roles as a necessary evil, Though if all goes well, Guild Wars 2 is going to totally eliminate the need for fixed roles.
