Let's be honest, it pisses me off. It's just going to show how the media is telling girls not to be themselves but to conform in society. Sure Dora is older, but that's not how nine-year-olds dress. I've never seen a nine-year-old girl dress like she started high school, unless their parents are BEGGING for them to be kidnapped by a lolicon.
Anyway, I like the tomboy Dora. She was herself and she loved to play. Just because Dora grew up by a few years doesn't mean she has to look like a tween. What the hell is wrong with people?
