I have never been so happy to downvote a thread than I am right now.
A friend of mine linked me to this thread on meebo after telling me some bad experiences with crews that couldn't afford powerups. As of late I've encountered the very same thing and was puzzled why. Then he linked me to this thread and it all made sense, and I felt my blood boil.
I'm sorry, but I don't find this funny—in fact I find this absolutely awful.
Why would you go out of your way to play with the price of powerups? A lot of DMSers at the very least RELY on those during any time period in order to get full enjoyment out of the game. And as far as I can see, right now a lot of them can't do that because two silly individuals decided it would be funny to put a bunch of them up for so high prices, forcing at least TWO people I know to use GC they were saving in order to grab them off the Cash Shop.
I'm happy to see Abelard trying to deflate them but I don't think it excuses the matter altogether.
First off this is a personal trolling show of mine.
Second, if that friend was Pinque, I gave her a deluxe amp for free, cause I'm so generous.
Third, I also gave others a free amps.
Fourth, I bought Dandeliondart a Whole DMS Bundle.
Fifth, nobody has to buy it.
Sixth, this is a prefect way to cause the prices to drop.
Seventh, that means a double troll because I actually
helped fix the problem due to people now lowballing the prices.
Eighth, I did it for the fame.
Ninth, I'm questing Cherubic Queen of Solair, That's 500,000,000.
I think I know what is feels like to lust after what I can't get right away.
It'll make it even more better when I do.
Without that lust and ambition, I would of quit long ago.
And this is supposed to make up for the fact that you purposely inflated the MP...how? Your private generosities have no real bearing on what's going on here and frankly I'm disgusted by you and Miyaka for even doing this in the first place.
You've made somebody go out there and put up THEIR own share of power ups in order to deflate the mess you both managed to throw up on there. Not only that, you've managed to put other DMSers I know in a position whereby as much as they wanted to crew in particular instances, they couldn't because for some reason they lost out on being able to afford the power-ups that they needed. Tell me whatever optimistic "bright side" you like, you've gone and made things harder for the rest of the players just because the both of you wanted to have a laugh and a giggle and a brag. I don't think I could ever look at you both the same way without thinking of what you're doing, especially if you even THINK about playing with the Marketplace again for your own amusement. That there is a resource many players go to for their zOMG needs, it's not fair on the rest of them if anybody plays with it at any given time, regardless of any gradual inflation of price.

You most certainly are being malicious if you think it's perfectly fine to inflate powerups to the point that people legitimately cannot afford them.

Inflation will not affect the price in actuality.
People will always place the same lower price.
For example if I put on on sale for 4mill, nobody will buy it.
They will just buy one for the lowest 50-100k amount possible.
Quite simple.
Like those ridiculously overpriced products on ebay.
They wont sell or make a difference.
Someone will always come to undercut you.
I am merely just filling a market place slot just to spam my name.
The fact that there is a lack of power-ups being sold is the reason to argue.
Because that is why the prices had risen.

Because I couldn't afford those damn power-ups.
I even had to sell my inventory items whenever my
friends would beg me to come play just so I could.
And as far as supply and demand goes, if I remove all my listings.
Nothing will have changed at all.
There would still be a lack of power-ups or nobody would be selling them.
This would be a lot more applicable if not for the fact that—as you've acknowledged—there is usually a limited amount of powerups on sale in the MP, which makes putting a bunch of them for much higher prices there for the simple reason of claiming a name slot and even joking seem like a very silly and imbecilic thing to do. If it were high end items that people in the exchange usually pay either thousands or millions more, people wouldn't blink an eyelid because the demand is usually so great. But when it comes to the necessities that zOMGers go out of their way to spend either cash or gold on, tinkering with the price to a ridiculously large margin will always be a very touchy thing to do.
It also bothers me that you're trying to use a high amount of gold like 4 mil and even an over-inflated item like the Cherubic as examples and comparisons. They don't even measure on the same spectrum as powerups because they're both vanity possessions. They're the want and never the need. The distinction here is that Amps, Revives and Superchargers will always be a need for anybody who wants to experience more of DMS and fit into other crews and communities that revolve around that area. You've had the chance to experience that yourself, but what about those that are just starting out and are more than willing to immerse in that world? They're either delayed or end up losing that motivation because somebody else decided it would be amusing to play around with what's there. Somebody else's misfortune makes a joke like this an absolute waste of time and space, as well as a distaste for whatever amusement you might have had for it before.
