I'm going to attempt even asking this no matter how stupid it is....

Raven, what IS a HARD game to you? What would make it hard?

Or maybe are you just playing all the easy games? o.o
A hard game would be something that is difficult to complete.
Nothing more, nothing less.

Proving something is definitively hard is where the problem lies, since skill, player, and game all play factors.

There are a lot of those. But, seeing as how you could probably complete them eventually anyway it gets easier as you go. But if it is your first time playing a game then it would be more difficult and as you go it would get easier.

P.S. I will read posts when I get back, I am going to the store.
If there are a lot of those, then how come nobody's named one that is definitively hard in the 15 pages of the thread?

Keep reading, failure.
Does the post contain the name of a game that is quite definitely hard, regardless of player or skill level?
Then there's no reason to keep reading.
You didn't prove anything.

Funny stuff, calling me the failure when you've been flailing against the brick wall of my argument for this many pages.

TEAR DOWN THE WALL>>>

Games are hard if you don't know how to play them. So therefore...
Which doesn't make the game universally hard.
If I don't know how to play it, and another person does, and they find it easy, then the game is not universally hard.
I don't know how to speak German. Does that make speaking German universally hard?

Yes if you don't know how to speak German.
If I don't know how to speak German, it's hard for everybody to speak German?
Right.
I'm sure that makes sense in your little world.

You with the lack of ability to speak German makes it universally harder to comprehend German on all fronts. It makes sense in...

I'd love to be proven wrong.
I'm still waiting for someone to do it, though.

@Raven Incognito: Face it - you stopped reading and started chomping on your nails when I pointed out that difficulty is a variable because you know that by that reasoning, if everyone sucks, then the game is hard.
What's your point?
I'm not arguing that.
I'm asking you to point out a game that's universally hard, that EVERYBODY sucks at.
Possibilities are irrelevant.
You do not provide proof. You provide theories and opinion.
Therefore you fail at the argument.

Would new games be considered universally hard, since no one has ever played them and would suck at since it's their first time playing it?

And for the game that's universally hard that you keep asking for: Superman 64.

So me not knowing how to speak German makes it inherently harder for everybody in Germany to speak German, even if they're not related to me at all.

Yeah... I'm just going to go ahead and say you don't have a good argument here.
I win again.

Exact ally.
Well, I say....

A few weeks ago, I went back and beat, with 100% or HIGHER (As with the DK Countries) every single one of my old SNES games with no strategy guides, cheatcodes, and/or help whatsoever in less than 16 hours. It took me 120+ hours to completely beat FFXII. So, old games were NOT harder.

....So have I spoken.

Well s**t, I guess I haven't been kicking the crap out of the Xenosaga games I've been playing, because I haven't played them before and by your logic, I must suck at them. Even though I don't. Which means they're not hard.

Crazy how that works.
Well, I say....

Even "The Lion King," which is a b***h of a hard game only because of the poor programming and mindless repetition needed to not fail.

I just had an epiphany. Learning curve defines a game's difficulty. Whoever made that mathematical statement earlier, you need to start working on some kind of logarithmic equation or something now.
