yeah good luck beating it without dying.
It must be possible.
If you die, and you restart from your respawn point without any progress saved, then that area must be completed within the span of a single life.
Your point has been proven invalid repeatedly.
I shall take this as "I win time".

you can save and if you die its not a single life. this thread is going nowhere so have fun arguing about pointless things and wasting your time trying to prove all this crap to someone else.
Missed the point again.

no i didnt. its called im done with your bs and im leaving because this isnt going anywhere

Which you've been doing for at least 6 pages.

and its not going anywhere because people dont listen to anyone but themselves. everyone has their opinion.
So that's what you're doing? Just listening to yourself and no one else's arguments? That would explain why you ignored my last response.

You don't play Contra to beat the game. You play for the highest score.

You're missing the point of what arcade games are for. Initials on the top of a leader board.
Sorry, you are telling me why I am playing my game?

Auto fail.
Look, if you don't play the game for the intended purpose, of course it's going to be easy.
Intent is in the person playing it.
Some people play RPGs for the story. Some people play it for the strategy. Still others play it for the characters.
Are you going to tell them why they should play their games?
No.

I shall stop arguing with you now.
You're just going to end up suddenly agreeing with me anyways. >.>
The intended purpose is what the developers had in mind. They didn't want everyone running around using the Konami code willy nilly to beat the game. They wanted everyone to try their damnedest to play the game without dieing to get the highest score.

And that's only with trolls.

You saying you're a troll?
You mean you don't know who I am?

Regardless, I already said I am not going to argue it more with you.
I don't care what anybody else thinks should be the reason why I play my games.
I'll take that as a victory.

And no. I can't say I've seen you before. Sorry.

It suddenly makes sense. First, do not go editing posts after I have read and responded to them, then expect me to know what you're talking about later on when you follow up on a statement I never even knew you made. Second, if you're playing at your best and you still cannot complete something, then as far as you are concerned, that task is hard, even if someone else in the world can complete that same task.
STILL DOESN'T MEAN THE GAME'S UNIVERSALLY HARD.
It was never my intended goal to establish that games are hard for everyone.
Apparently it was, since my original and continuous point was that you cannot prove to me that games are hard if I haven't had a hard time with them.
No, it wasn't. Naturally, the measure of difficulty will vary according to the player's skill. This doesn't mean that a specific game is inherently hard; it means that it is hard or easy relative to the player's skill level. Remember: if you suck, then it is hard; if you are good, then it is easy.
That's what we asked for proof against.

I say skill has no level your good at a game you beat it big deal but the game is not any easer from a person being good wether it takes them a few hours to a day it seems like no one realy talks about the games actrul difficulty they talk about there skill saying crap like I beat it, dosen't mean it wasn't hard even for the ones who beat it I mean someone says I beat gost and goblens pepole say congrats not well the game wasn't hard at all case you beat it.Games are made hard for a reson for chalange and when you beat the challange it dosen't make it not a challange anymore.

We're living in a day where people said Megaman 9 is 'too hard'.

Um, I actually feel that Megaman 9 is easier than the original Megaman...

I found it harder.

Of course I'm going for achievments, so...

The last Megaman I played was 7. It was fairly difficult.

Achievements are just that... achievements. Most have nothing to do with actually beating the game.

Plus, the Wii version achievements are actually harder.

It has that on the 360 too, but there's the actual achievments that get you gamerscore.

I'm never getting the "beat the game without taking damage", though. EVER.
