no I believe he proved you wrong. you first said "video games were never hard. prove you wrong" then you agreed that a need for infinite lives would mean the game is difficult
And?

Meaning you are a hypocrate and you should be ashamed. Also you clame beating a game has nothing to do with an oldschool arcade game like contra it for the highscore not the ending cutsceen and besides anyone can beat contra if they try there is no imposibul game to beat I just think Contra not only one of the best shooters of all times (ONE NOT THE) is alout harder then Call of duty which I did beat on Veteran and well lame...nothing too good.
Liar.

Anyway, I like how you don't seem to know what the word "need" means.

IT means is neccesary. Not a single person here has named an old game where unlimated lives was required to win.

lol you are calling him a liar for beating a game on veteran? fail. veteran is possible to beat
You're an idiot.

I'm calling him a liar because he hasn't beaten CoD on veteran.

so you were proved wrong and that is also hypocritical to say they arent hard but they are hard if you need infinite lives. you can say that games were never hard. you can say SOME games werent hard. but saying games in general were never hard.....fail
I wasn't proven wrong.
He still has yet to name me a game where infinite lives were needed.

"I wanna be the guy"- infinite lives needed. there you go
Except people have completed it without using infinite lives.

i dont think there is a lives counter. you can reset the level every time you die
Wait, what? Then what about what you said in your last post?

it doesnt give you an amount of lives. its infinite. every time you die you restart the level. and you die a lot.
It suddenly makes sense. First, do not go editing posts after I have read and responded to them, then expect me to know what you're talking about later on when you follow up on a statement I never even knew you made. Second, if you're playing at your best and you still cannot complete something, then as far as you are concerned, that task is hard, even if someone else in the world can complete that same task.

Really?

So it's really easy to get the highest score and not die without using the Konami code?

I wanna see your initials on a leader board.
You play for the score.
I play to beat the game.
You're still missing the point.
You don't play Contra to beat the game. You play for the highest score.

You're missing the point of what arcade games are for. Initials on the top of a leader board.
Sorry, you are telling me why I am playing my game?

Auto fail.
Look, if you don't play the game for the intended purpose, of course it's going to be easy.
Intent is in the person playing it.
Some people play RPGs for the story. Some people play it for the strategy. Still others play it for the characters.
Are you going to tell them why they should play their games?
No.

I shall stop arguing with you now.
You're just going to end up suddenly agreeing with me anyways. >.>

If every time you die, you restart the level, then you have to do each level in one life, no?
Which means it's entirely possible to beat the entire game with only one life.

STILL DOESN'T MEAN THE GAME'S UNIVERSALLY HARD.

The intended purpose is what the developers had in mind. They didn't want everyone running around using the Konami code willy nilly to beat the game. They wanted everyone to try their damnedest to play the game without dieing to get the highest score.

And that's only with trolls.

You saying you're a troll?

Yeah and big woop I mean I didn't feellike I was epic win after I did so that why I say that as well. You know it is just when it came down to it you felt like an Epic fail then an Epic win. I mean I beat gost and goblens...(Ohh test tell me happens when you beat the finnal boss.) I felt like a king among men, Call of Duity was just sorta like when you beat street fighter on normal "Now try a harder difficulty" and there was none.

I don't care what anybody else thinks should be the reason why I play my games.
