Well, the turning on mechanism..is a mechanism...maybe some breakers are screwed or something. I'm no TV technician but why would a TV be haunted?

that's the most stupid thing for a spirit to do.
do you have an idea what an amazing feat it is to be a spirit in the first place?
You see...it its believed that you usually go to heaven or hell or similar place after you die, but spirits..no..they are ABOVE that.
They are out of the grasp of OMNIPOTENT gods which are credited with the CREATION OF THE UNIVERSE.
You know..the spirit is ..gods realm..an omnipotent being..and this spirit isn't giving a s**t ..and is still persistent..despite having to face this ultra omnipotent perfect being...

and with that power...it STAYS IN A TELEVISION?!

All signs point to it. It starts out small to get your attention, and eventually you begin fearing what might happen. As your fear grows, it grows stronger. Eventually, it'll be able to do more, such as project shadows and hold a physical outline in the dark. The more you grow to fear it, the stronger it gets, until it's strong enough to possess you.
