Well, why we got some bad updates? Like making this site 60% Cash and 40% Golds.

EHH ones ONLY till October is over then we get space gear and nothing but till another Update

You only mentioned word bump. You didn't mention the new Jigsaw that was fine the way it was and you could put pieces ANYWHERE you wanted in the board and now you can't! I don't know if it's ever been fixed or not but one time I played with it like this and last count I had was still not granting gold for insane, I can't say about other levels. I've refused to play since not getting anything for it.

Also who said wordbump was fixed? Last time I played it not long ago it works for a time then stops showing letters. Saw a thread in SF a few days ago saying the same thing.

I read a lot not all of your old thread and I noticed a lot of devs saying that the aquarium was a lot of time, trouble, effort and money and that that's why it turned out to be a paid feature. So how does this make the Battle System any different? They were constantly saying in you previous thread that the battle would be free, free and more free. But then turn right around and say that they don't make those kinds of decisions and didn't even want the aquarium to be cash only. So where is their proof that it too won't turn out like the aquarium? They can say till their blue in the face that the BS will be free but if Mr. Money Man is the one who ultimately decides prices and what will and won't be cash only then how can the devs possibly say that it will be free?

Opinions are welcome in site feedback, but it really isn't SITE feedback it's just a snarky reply to the OP.

It's not synonymous, because with "If you don't like it, leave," there are aspects that keep a person from completely quitting. It's not always black or white. Comparing it with suicide is, in my opinion, an offensive comparison seeing as the severity of killing yourself is a lot higher than simply leaving a website. sweatdrop

That being said, I agree on some of the points the topic creator makes (shocking, isn't it?). The head start zOMG tickets, aquarium being a cash shop, and the inability to meet deadlines are somewhat unnerving.

Overall, I think s/he makes a much better point than some people on here. I'd like to see some sources on these statements, though. Perhaps some admin/dev quotes with direct links to said quotes?

That one comparison doesn't mean anything. Companies sell out to larger companies all the time - look at Unilever or Procter & Gamble. They're corporate conglomerates, and Unilever extends farther than just the United States.

Perhaps the staff aren't paying attention to your threads because you see more interested in attacking at them instead of offering suggestions? I'm sure you'll delete this, but by doing so, you're only proving my point.

(1) Gaia is located in America. America is a CAPITALISTIC society. Of course money is going to be extremely important- as the value of the dollar drops, Gaia has to, like many companies, raise salaries just so their workers can get by. Gaia is not unaffected by the economic crisis. In fact,they may even be harder hit,being in California. If you haven't heard, California is not only suffering from the global economic problems, but also because the state treasury is in complete disarray. Don't assume that money shouldn't be an issue just because its an entertainment site aimed at teens. Those staffers have homes and families to support as well.

(2) THE AQUARIUM WORKS JUST FINE WITHOUT PURCHASING ANYTHING. Don't you dare try to say it doesn't, because I'm living proof of it. I haven't bought a single aquarium item with Gaia cash OR with gold on the marketplace, yet I still get a free item everyday for sticking in the goldfish I won in the daily chance and feeding it once a day. Simple, easy, and it can't get any freer than that. Are you aware of the amount of work that would go into animating all of the fish from Fishing to go into an Aquarium? You're basically asking them to do more work- but do it for free, because their work doesn't deserve money.

(3) Are you complaining about the BETA TESTERS? Honestly. Its basic game knowledge- testers are a given. They are needed to ensure that game runs smoothly. If Gaia chose not to have beta testers, than it would either take them even longer to release it or it would be filled with obvious glitches. Which would you rather have- a MMO that actually works or one that doesn't work half the time?

(4) IF YOU DON'T HAVE THE GOLD, DON'T COMPLAIN. Hello? I'm sitting right here, telling you its possible to make it on Gaia without buying cash or hacking/scamming/botting. But guess what? It doesn't take a week or two. It takes time! If you work at it, you'll succeed. Its pointless to whine over what others have and what you don't. You want something? WORK FOR IT. That's what I did. That's what hundreds of other users do! So instead of complaining about how Gaia "doesn't care for their users," why don't you find a nice guild/thread, make some good friends, and earn gold the old fashion way? Or better yet-! Enter a contest. Learn how to vend.

MORAL OF MY POST: Don't complain about them charging, and then turn around and ask them to do more. That's just unfair.

Notice price drops in the market place, especially with older MCs? Gaia kept it's promise. It took time, but thats the only way to handle it.
You can get some of the Aquarium things for free. I got most of my thins from DC. Any thing else I got from commissions.
If Gaia knows about this thread, it means they actually took the time to read it. That should say something, ne? Sure, nothing is changing like ASAP but things take time. They have a whole lot of things to do.
They aren't greedy. They use the money to keep the site going and able to hold a lot of users. In fact, they are finally able to hit up European cons, like many users wanted, because they finally are making money.
I'm a tester for the Battle system and I can guarantee it'll be free. If you're concerned about it, poke at the Battle forum. And they never made a promise time. Ever. They said they will try to get it out as soon as they are able. There is a lot of work being done on this thing.
I never saw Lanzer as ever owning Gaia. I think he shared ownership.
They do read what we say. They take things in consideration and try to go with what the majority wants. The key thing is they listen.
