I would have to say:

1: Lord of the Rings. It was the beginning of all the RPGs that I love,
2: Star Wars. A brilliant adventure.
3: Harry Potter. Eeeeeh The seventh book was terrible.
smile I don't know, I think they're all epic. smile

StarWars.
Without it, none of the others would be as great

I'm sorry, I'm being nitpicky, but LoTR was written by Tolkien way before George Lucas starte to direct Star Wars...

Plus, the all follow the adventure circle created by Don Quixote I believe.

True enough and I'm glad you said so but allow me to be more nitpicky. None of these are inspired by Don Quixote, they all (less so Harry Potter) follow the line of the Epic Quest utilized as early as the first stories of Arthurian legend, and even further back then that honestly. It's as old as most mythologies maybe older, one of our first forms of storytelling.

Yes, I knew I was off by saying Don Quixote as soon as I made the post, but was too lazy to edit it. Thank you for the correction. But yes, each and every adventure does follow the Epic Quest storyline; Eragon, Harry Potter, Star Wars, LoTR, every adventure story you can think of all copy the first adventure ever written, whatever it may be named.
