This is just my opinion, if I am wrong or you think other wise fill free to comment back.

So to all those that are still complaining that the items are only out in America. When it comes to anime products/shows, besides Japan/asia, America is 2nd to have all your anime products/needs. Their not going to try and pick another country (with little chance of it being licensed) over America to license their products too to grab another audience. I'm sure gaia wants all their users to be able to have this, but since this is ANIME above gaia first, they need to think in terms of how anime is licensed over seas. Does it make more sense to you now? Will you shut it and stop whining? If an item is out on gaia, there will always be a way to obtain it, crying over about how expensive they are on the MP is useless, you will put the prices up that hight too, don't lie. rofl

SOPA and PIPA take the whole copyright protection thing so overboard that it can be used as a way to control the internet as a whole and censor almost anyone they want. this is simply following copyright and licensing laws as they stand now and not overstepping established bounds. it's like comparing Mount Everest to a molehill, with the molehill being a US only RIG.

Yeah what you say is true, as much as we all hate following copyright laws and all that jazz gaia has to! Also, FMAB show is airing in America still, makes sense for them to have the items out for America.

Well to be fair, they're reruns. FMAB has already finished in America.

Do you even understand what SOPA and PIPA are? Do you understand how international trade laws and copyright laws work?

Everyone can understand upholding current copyright laws... especially if you are a business that doesn't want to get sued.

The issue with SOPA and PIPA wasn't that businesses would be forced to uphold the laws. It's that the government was trying to pass the laws for the sake of large media corporations "profiting" (well, I'm sure they thought of it as profiting) and making already legal acts (IE- Let's Plays, streaming, and s**t like Wikipedia) illegal and a jailable offense.

However, trade protection laws are there for a reason. Do you know your local grocery stores are forced to buy from local farms instead of overseas? You're paying higher grocery bills because of trade protection laws that say they can't buy food really cheap from other nations. Yet, if those laws weren't in place, your country's agricultural economy would go to s**t and that would also cause it's fair share of problems.

Instead of bitching about pixel items on a site, maybe you should actually go and become educated about the matter. This kind of thing isn't anything new. Anime has been licensed this way for over two decades now.

Mitsumi makes a really great point, especially that anime has been licensed like this since years before a lot of us were even born. What I think people don't understand or noticed is this exactly, they jump to the conclusion and yell about items they can't obtain when they lost the focus to understand how licensing anime actually works. This isn't some run of the mill new gaia RIG, its an already licensed anime characters where they need to follow the copyright laws. It sucks how it works but at least we do get to have FMAB items...what other website can you think of that has been able to do this besides gaia? Save up gold and try and buy the items.

I'm pretty sure licensing has worked pretty much the same since before I was born and I'm a bit on the old side for Gaia (I was born in the late 70's). the whole reason licensing works like it does is because of international copyright agreements, one of the better known ones being the Berne Convention which started back in the late 1800's. the basics of regional licensing laws goes back more than a mere few decades and I doubt there's been much basic change to the core of those laws. then there's the fact the digital age didn't really change the licensing laws that drastically, they mostly amended them to cover digital distribution issues as well.
USA!!!! USA!!! our government is kinda retarded tho lol with some laws

Yes yes yes, But basic point here is that a lot of people don't really care s**t about these things and start pointing the fingers at gaia, especially with all the mistrust people have been feeling over gaia/zomg and what not. But when you think about it, if they can bring FMAB on to gaia, who knows what other anime they might be able to make items for?
It still sucks though. emo I WANT ALL THE ITEMS.
I'll just have to sell everything I guess. emotion_donotwant

You can still buy it with gold in the marketplace. If all you have is cash, just a pick an item you don't want from cash shop, sell it and use the gold to get FMA items. It's not like you CAN'T have it, or something.
