I'm a guy so perhaps my opinion is irrelevant, but my judgment is not so much about which "looks better" rather my judgment is about purpose.
The only one I see that would be worth purchasing is the first one, why would you purchase the second one? The second one just looks like a standard hoody, and you can get standard hoodies at JCPenney, Target, etc, etc for a price that I'm sure is half or even more than that of the second hoody you've proposed.
In fact if we're talking about hoodies, I know a way to get hoodies for extremely cheap. The only thing is you have to be patient. But a while back ago, few months ago, I bought 2 Nike Hoodies for $5 dollars from JCpenney when their original price was $50 dollars each. The reason why I was able to get it for so cheap was because I always wait for clothing to be out of season, for example I wait for winter clothing that the store is unable to sell and it gets into the spring or even summer clothing season. Stores will drop the price of these clothing items significantly just to get rid of them, and that's what I wait for to get clothing. It's really easy to use this strategy when you're looking for something standard like a hoody, however this strategy wouldn't work for like the first item of clothing you proposed because that's a more complex and less standard piece of clothing.
