The perfect otherworldly male is, and always shall be, the Mad Hatter. XD *is caffeine high by now*
Don't you mean Doctor Who?
Alas, I'm only vaguely familiar with the good doctor, so I can't vouch for him.
The Host was better.

The Host was better.
I agree completely. It actually has an interesting plot with somewhat good characters!
Woah, woah, woah. We're getting off topic here, fellas.

Um... what? I think you're stretching it there with the well-written thing... neutral
Really?
Not this again.

The whole premise of Twilight is completely copying the first half of Wuthering Heights. She takes the most overused plot device- forbidden love- and combines it with vampires (Who are not really vampires) She completely twists the lore so that they're not vampires, and the only resemblence is in the act that they drink blood. Not only are they all SUPER HANDSOME AND PRETTY, they ARE VEGETARIAN and DON'T LIKE HURTING THINGS!
If anyone even tried to analyze the character, MARY-SUE would be flashing in neon lights. (Mary-Sue being the character that does everything well, and is a perfect human with no flaws.)

There is absolutely no character or plot development. The only thing it has going for it are descriptions of every girl's fantasy: A caring, yet musculaar, possesive male.

(REALLY? COME ON!)

EDIT: I jumped in without reading the rest of the thread. Excuse me. I'm sorry.

It's like she was trying to breed the perfect otherworldly male... neutral

Hmm, it seems I'm still here.

I've just got a question about Twilight - does each book in the series start with a preface that has something to do with death and dying?

Also, thanks for the defense, Angelkeeper. whee

Maj, I love how adaptable you are. And I love how you're able to capture the mentality of rabid prepubescent fangirls oggling over Edward and secretly despising Bella in a poorly spelled and horribly emoticoned sentence.

You have renewed my faith... in something...

i dont care if it is in the wrong fourm idk but i want to no if it is a good book

Please stay in school.
I belive that depending on who you are, the Twilight Saga was either poorly written, or well written. I think it was a little boring, and maybe a little confusing. I read them all, but most likely will not read them again for many years. I did not hate it, yet I did not like it. Believing that Twilight is the best book ever would be an over-statement considering the many books in the world that you have yet to read. You may believe that it is a good book, and you may not. Either way, it is your own personal opinion and should not be wavered by others. Just as it should not be critisised by others. So I plead to you all to not make critical remarks on others opinions, please respect other peoples opinions as well as yourself and others' feelings along with your own. Thank you all for reading my opinion. mrgreen
