Twilight, from the small bit that I've read, can be a great easy read. If you're looking for something purely time-wasting, it's a nice, quaint, predictable little thing. If you're wanting something that's actually a thought-provoking book, I'd suggest something else.

However, asking if Twilight is "good" or "bad" is really just a personal opinion and everyone's sick and ******** tired of hearing all the whining about it. Read it and shut the ******** up.

Twilight has unfortunately become the bible for many vampire-related stories now-a-days, and it sickens me greatly. I read the first three and half of the fourth and then became tired of it. If a book can't sustain my interest, it's not good for me anyways. Stephenie Meyer has revamped what she calls "vampires", having them glitter is total nonsense. What magical, atrocious and deadly creature sparkles in the sun?! Her writing is as I stated many time before juvenile and elementary. Personally I think (even though it wasn't about a real vampire) the Bunnicula series was ten times better then the mind-controlling concoction Meyer created. Anyone remember those books? They skate circles around Twilight if you ask me, any day.

The writing is for those of us *Glances around* sixth graders... A great story... very repetitive... It is possible to poke fun holes in it (example: what happens when Bella goes on her period?)... Read it if you must, but I go no farther than the first one. razz

No, it was alright as far as a fluff piece of light reading goes, but if you want something good with vampires, go for Patricia Briggs or Rob Thurman over SMeyer any day.

I wouldn't recommend reading Twilight. You may start hearing rats in the wall, wanting to dive into the sea and awaken the dreamer or you may start hearing strange sounds and a very handsome Egyptian guy who carries a lot of shiny instruments around him. I recommend not reading it.
