Believe it or not, in some societies people look down at twenty-something guys who creep around playgrounds and Target toy aisles and the beach being childish. Comic and anime conventions that happen once a year? At home with no one to be with?

The point is that no one with a soul goes on Gaia to be mature and to have mature conversations with people. It's where people go to be silly and maybe act like they wish they could in public.

Maybe I'm someone who seriously was interested in discussing the benefits of a Flying Spaghetti Monster. It kind of offers a safe haven for people who perhaps didn't grow up with a religion or any kind of 'god.' It's showing that there are other people out there who don't necessarily know what the hell's going on either, okay?

My friends used to mess around on the playgrounds at the lake, mostly later in the day when nobody was around, just goofing off. No creeping going on there.
I sometimes peruse the toy aisles, to see if anything looks neat or collectible. I do most of my shopping and browsing at comic book stores and online, seeing as how those are the places that have what I'm looking for (comic and Star Wars stuff; love me my Darth Revan Mighty Mugg).

I would find this less of an outlandish concept if you had shown any inclination to that beyond asking if anyone had been touched by his "noodly appendage".
