he has the items

*sigh* The only items I have are the ones Im showing right now. The leather collar with cross is outta my reach now. I just saw not that many people had it in the MP, so I tried to change the gaian world. It's me who is making some of the prices go up. (cloud, dark halo, tryin to get oculus up, but cant be credited completly for that one, etc.) Im making profit like this, but not a whole lot. I just have paitence, and I suppose a slight bit of insanity that it might work. And guess what? Most of the time it does.

one word

that guy really needs a good beat up. im not buying anything that was 89k before and then became 180k

lol my thought's exactly

he's the type of ppl that make other ppl's wish impossible stare

That's what I said

I told him, for the people who can't buy letters or cash cards, that he is really making it hard for them.

thats seriously selfish, i cant stand these ppl.

*sigh* I know I shouldnt post in this, cause now you guys are gonna eat my heart, but Im not greedy. I dont have a dark collar with cross, but was trying to make a difference in the gaian world. Your little buddy helped me come to some realizations in the market though... And no. Im not the type to sell things in shops for more than theyre worth. I consider them assholes. Ecspecially when you ask em if theyll sell em to ya any cheaper, and they dont. ninja But look. But I am greedy. How else can you get gold in the marketplace than to sell it for more instead of less than you bought it. It's also called profit. Put it how you wish though.

play the exchange...

You've never heard of that?

It's amazing how much gold you can make in a day of whoring around the exchange

Actually... No. I've only heard buy low, sell high. Please explain the theory of yours. I would love to know how this works. ^_^

Go into the exchange.

bounce around the thread, looking for good deals.

haggle alot
never buy at mp price

get a item (monthly mostly) at about 2k or more, under the lowest mp price
(yes people do sell under mp, selling at mp price in the exchange will get you a laugh in the face)

Then take the item that you bought and sell it in the mp for the lowest price of that item.

do that all day long.

I use to make 50k a day

Thanks for the tip. Hope it still works this way. If not, Im doomed. I dont mean to make other people's dreams sink, I just am focused. Sometimes it can make you do risky things.
The gaia currency system is doomed to fail. Why? Because it has no backing. As long as people are constantly able to increase their gold without limit prices will increase with it.

The only way to solve this on gaia is to switch to a zero sum system. Which simply means that the total amount of gold should never surpass the total value of items on gaia.

The problem with this is that certain items have no set value. Gaia would have to assign a value to every item it releases. Gaia would also have to put a limit on the number of each item on it's site. If were to release only 1 or 2 of each item per user and it would then have to limit the amount of gold to the total value of all those items.

This would not stop users from exceeding a certain limit. Anyone could have any amount of gold as long as it didn't exceed the total amount of gold on the entire site. It would also have to have a system that added a certain number of items and gold onto the site every time a new user joined and vise versa when a user left.

The other problem would be that each store would have so much gold which means one could only sell items to a store as long as it had the gold to buy it. This gold could potentially come from MCs and event items collected by users. Since there was no gold spent to acquire the item, that gold would instead go to the shops and since such items cannot be sold to the shops it could be saved for when users sell items back to the shops.

But it is far too late for gaia to switch to this system. Why? Because gaia would have to force every member to start from scratch The best it could do is leave very member with their items and take all their gold. But if the total number of a single item in all the users inventories was greater than the total number of users, gaia would have to eliminate a number of those items until they were equal or less. So who would be forced to give up items?

This is the solution to gaia's inflation, until gaia puts a cap on the total amount of gold released into the economy, prices will climb.

All hope is not lost in your theory, and is a good one might I add. Gaia must simply make several announcements about this idea of only being limited to two, and by doing as such, will have no complaints. It wont be for the older items, but they could possibly do it with newer, upcoming items. 3nodding (strongly recomend site feedback for this one.)

But this is where we arent to blame, but gaia itself. Gaia has recently become overly greedy. They advertise everywhere they can now. They are opening their doors to the world and everyone in it, and by doing so they are making gaia into something everyone can enjoy. What I learned earlier tonight from good ole Devestati is that gaia used to be used for Chatting and making friends. Now it's almost all about the items. Just like this forum for instance.
