I'm from a town called Greenfield, IN where one of the world's most famous poets (James Whitcomb Riley) was born, raised, lived, and died.

Now, I live in my state's capitol, Indianapolis, IN.
Every year, Indianapolis turns monument circle (one of the great pinnacles of the Circle City) into the world's largest Christmas Tree.

Here's a picture for emphasis:

Hong Kong.
Am I the first from Southeast Asia in this thread? xd
I live in a little community called Turpin, OK. It's an official town seeing as there is a post office here, but there isn't anymore than 300 people living here ( I think it's less) There isn't much out here,
It takes around 15 minutes to 8 hours just to get anywhere.

The city of Liberal Ks, just 13 miles North of here, is home to the International Pancake Race, the 5th largest air museum in the US, and Dorthy's House (Wizard of Oz)

But on a personal note, it's as flat as a table top here, and the only real highlight when the southern wind isn't bringing the stink of feed lots, are the thunderstorms that are nothing short of epic.

Let the dream begin, let your darker side give in to the harmony which dreams alone can write...

I live in the dubbed "rural" area of New York City, but it seems more suburban than anything else unless you go a bit more east and end up where all the farms and vineyards are. Although I do head into the city very often...

...and listen to the Music of the Night...
I live in a small town in southwest Iowa. And I have to drive 20 minutes to the next town to go to a wal-mart. And for that matter, my town doesn’t even have a movie theater. Well, we did. But it closed. Then reopened. And closed again D:

Meh. My town is supposed to be slightly famous though. A popular trombone player from back during WWII was born here. And there’s actually a festival every year about him. Also, a large mental health care center used to be located now too far from town. Now it's a large "foster care unit" and school. It's also like, extremely haunted in some parts because of the fact it used to be an aslyum. D:

First iowan to post? D:

Bremerton, Washington.
Its a Navy Town with a base that repairs mostly all the big ships and air craft carriers. Its pretty ghetto over here, but I guess its home.
