Welcome to Gaia! ::

Hot Topic cuz Hollister and Ambercrobie are full of preps that like to stare at me.
Hot Topic is a lot cheaper, and while it's still obnoxiously trendy, it's better suited for us common folk.

And I refuse to wear anything that is pretty much about status.... That's what Hollister and Ambercombie are. Overpriced clothes worn by yuppies.

Seriously, if you shop at these places you should probably be killed. It's disgusting. Spending so much on a ******** status symbol while people in this country are starving to death. It's disgusting.

hot topic - because abercrombie is full of preppy assholes

So?

Hot Topic is full of "I'M SO SMART AND SO INDIE AND SO ALTERNATIVE AND SO REBELLIOUS" assholes.

Yeah, because dropping $60 for Tripp jeans at Hot Topic isn't nearly as bad as dropping $60 for a pair of jeans at Hollister or Abercrombie.

None of those shops exist where I live.

I love New Look and Marks & Spencer's clothes, though.

@ yuhchi: Your ego is really annoying, you know that?

This is gonna be good twisted
None.
Hot Topic, if I had to choose, just because they have interesting shoelaces.
But seriously, none.

But 10-15 bucks for a shirt is much better than the 20-30 I've seen at the other places.'

Plus, they got a great clearance section. Not saying I shop there. Just saying it's more common folk friendly.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the clearance section at Hot Topic. If I go in there, that's the first place I go.
Eight dollars for a hoodie as long as a dress that I've worn over and over and over again.

I'll agree with the latter statement, but not the former. Hot Topic has some great clearance prices, but they can also price some things atrociously. At a Hot Topic I went to in New York, a "vintage T-shirt" with a Duran Duran album cover on it was almost $80.

Furthermore, your previous statement of "Seriously, if you shop at these places you should probably be killed. It's disgusting. Spending so much on a ******** status symbol while people in this country are starving to death. It's disgusting." is absolutely absurd.

Hot Topic is just as corporate as Hollister and Abercrombie, and as I've said, Hot Topic is will to charge people insane prices. $20 for a pair of name-brand torn-up stretchy gloves at Hot Topic that you could buy at a dollar store and then tear up yourself? $55 for Dickie's jeans at Hot Topic when you could buy the exact same pair and brand at Kohl's for $25?

Hot Topic sells just as many status symbols. The difference is that they're status symbols worn by upper-middle class kids who want to appear like they aren't.

Get over the smell of Hollister, guys, you probably smell as bad =/.

I all consider them equal.

I'd rather buy from Hollister or Abercrombie though. Hot Topic has some seriousley interesting looking stuff, but a lot of their stuff falls to s**t easier than others, or so it's been from personal experience.
On an additional note, I can't really buy the t-shirts from either three, given I need a lower neckline.

Abercrombie and Hollister are just a waste of space to me. Everything is so expensive and not even worth the money.

Hot Topic isn't so great either. I'm more often than not, prone to actually shop there than anywhere else if I'm in a mall or some sort.
But, their clothing and product quality is s**t. And SOMETIMES they even have quite a few over-priced things, too.
You're better off ordering clearance s**t off of the website.

I'm not going to argue the point, because I agree. I never claimed it WASN'T evil. Simply less evil.

I don't shop at any of these places. I just don't mind Hot Topic as much because, hey, they have stuff for the rest of us too. Fifteen bucks for a Flogging Molly shirt ain't to bad. Course, I rather get my concert shirts from Concerts, but that's not the point.

This is coming, by the way, from somebody who buys his t-shirts from Hobby Lobby for six bucks a piece.
Hot Topic, defiantly, love that store, been shopping there for a lot of years, never had a problem with it, the other ones I'm not going to bash, people have their own styles and different tastes, me mines the emo look, not preppy look, so I don't go shopping in the other two, plus, someone said Hollister stinks, it does, majorly, gives me a headache everytime I go to the mall and walk by it.
if i had to choose out any of them..

((they all suck))

hot topic..
