@ Cutie: What would you like me to prove or Provide? That fat is bad for you? Or maybe the dangers of Obesity?
There's plenty of information available. Your OP is devoid of any of it; I think that in and of itself shows how serious you really are.

Alright. I will edit them into the OP. Is the CDC and WHO fine, or do I need to find someone more qualified?
I'm just saying they should have been there in the first place. I am not going to ridicule you too much on your sources, so the CDC... whoever they are is fine by me.

The Center for Disease control, and then the World Health Organization. I hope they are fine with you...you know, considering they are world wide health authorities. I don't see why i have to cite something as obvious as fat making you a sick unhealthy b*****d.
I was actually more interested in you citing sources on how to fix that problem, but whatever.

Your point is becoming increasingly less clear. Are you trying to imply that exercise will not help you lose weight? That simply isn't true.
My point is jumping straight into exercise oft leads to failure, so your suggestion is bad because it does not cover conditioning. In the case of the sedentary overweight there's no way that they will succeed in your suggestion, or rather it's harder for them.

So then you simply wished I'd be more specific? All you need to do is clarify then that conditioning yourself first will increase the effectiveness of exercise, instead of disagreeing with my post.

I didn't imply that one should jump right into strenuous exercise, only that it should be a maintained goal.
So because you weren't specific I shouldn't have... disagreed? I can't read minds.

I can't be infinitely specific and create a perfect plan for every potential reader. Your details are very welcome to be added in, but there's no need to imply I was incorrect simply because I could be more specific.

Everyone needs to take a chill pill. If they have details to add, then feel free, but tailoring a fitness plan to a particular person of lifestyle hardly implies a general plan is incorrect.

Understand now? smile

Do Pilates!!! It helped me a lot! I lost 15 pounds doing it during my last semester!!! 3nodding

Oh! Finally, specific exercise, I'll have to make a column for exercise and one for food, so it doesn't get lost.

@ Cutie: Oh lighten up! Your name is so sweet, but you are soo serious. Calm down and help out a little, have a way to avoid enamel damage after vomiting?

Conditioning is not something that's "person specific". It's very important that you tell people that without conditioning their chances of failure go up. I wouldn't even suggest exercise without conditioning; there's no point because you'll run your body ragged in the first two weeks if you aren't moderately healthy.

No. Not at all. Actually it's showing your ignorance on the subject. I think you just took a class on it, right?

Pilates are not bad. They do work well for a more total body work out, and most of the newer routines are moving away from the big bulky machines, thank God.

I dont like pushing a single exercise class or routine though, even my own classes. Its easier for people to workout if they can find something that they actually like to do; if you like basketball, going a rec league or schedule pick-up games with friends. If you like to walk, then pick out a place to walk and go with some friends, like a nice park or around a shopping district.

Bah. I guess I really just have something against misinformation. No, I don't know of anything that will protect teeth from vomit acid for long.

Do what you like huh? Great advice. See? You can help so much, is there something else you think will help? Maybe not even an exercise, but a way of thinking or something.

I'm conflict averse so you win the internets.

You are correct. I did not provide all the fitness information everyone will ever need to know ever and I am most apologetic.

Conditioning should be explained and I'm too ignorant to do the honors, so please, please, please don't make us wait for it any longer.

Okay? biggrin

Yeah, the class I participated in didn't have the bulky machines at all. I liked the way it was done, and if I didn't have classes during those times, I would most definitely have done it again this semester.

I also like my Turbo Kick class that I do. It's a very cardio centered class, and I believe that I'm getting more and more used to it, because I no longer have the urge to pass the hell out when the class is over. 3nodding

I'll be trying to get the Butts and Guts course next semester if I can, because I really want to get core strength.
