Again, most furries do not do bestiality. I consider that animal abuse and most tend to agree. And as for weirder, that's pretty subjective. But how about scat? Or ballooners? I think both of those are weirder. Or what about anime's freakin' tentacle rape? Or the large amount of anime rape in general?

Scat is as weird as furry. There's nothing wrong with simulated rape.

Cartoons are artwork. The plural of manga is manga.

Now, the fact of the matter is that the interest in anime does not stem from the art style, for the most part; if it does, then one is not interested in anime, but rather the artwork of anime. An interest in anime usually entails interest in the concepts explored in a series, rather than what it looks like.

I can post what is relevant to the topic of the thread. My disgust at furry behaviour is relevant. I haven't insulted anybody, so nobody should take direct offense to anything I've said. Also, you answered your own question. The reason I am in a thread about furries is that I don't like them.

How is having sex in fur suits(or partial suits) gross? People have many different fettishes. I think it is funny how you believe that rudely bashing someone is a proper way of voicing your opinion. You are still trolling/flamiing regardless if you spell out your words or not, so that was a poor excuse for an argument. I am not a furry, but I still believe your behavior is immature.

I've been interested in finding one located near my town, but there aren't many conventions other than CONvergence at the Sheraton Hotel. I had seen a couple Husky-Furs much like myself there, which made me kind of happy, haha. We talked for a bit and swapped stories about out experiences with our Fursonas and our possible encounters with people's opinions on this lifestyle.

I would think people would understand by now, that nothing in life is so sacred that people won't make porn of it. If you find porn related to some group on the internet, you'd a utter idiot if you try to apply special meaning to it.

Oh noes, there is porn of gamer characters. Doesn't mean anything special. On hoes, there is anime porn all over the internet. It doesn't mean anything special. OH NOES THERE IS FURRY PORN ON MAH INTERNETS! It doesn't mean anything special.

I for one can tell that Anime isn't all about d**k girls, tentacle rape, and homoerotic tendencies, no matter what oodles of porn exists out there. I know that video games are not all about forcing yaoi or yuri slashes of characters who hate each other, and making porn of it. It should not be that hard to realize that yes furries have porn, that's not all the fandom is about. The moment you say yes it is, than you are condemning other groups to the same thing for the same broken line of htinking. That suddenly gaming is all about porn and smutty fanfiction. Anime is all about porn and hentai. Star wars....it only exists so geeks can make porn that sometimes borders on suggesting incest. That's not how it is and you all know it. So stop pretending that suddenly while no special meaning is there for those other groups suddenly there is one for furries.

If it is too much for your fragile brains those of you who honestly believe that furry is all about sex and porn, well it sucks to be you. I for one won't deal with people telling me that furry is a fetish for me, or that the fandom I've been a part of for a decade now, is suddenly all about porn and fetish's because some people fail in the logic and rationality department.

Yes the porn is there, yes the sexual fetish's are there....but so they exist in nearly every other sub-culture there is. So get over it.

Am one, not likely to go. I've never been to a convention of any kind, but I kinda want to someday. Most of the people at those things kinda creep me out, though -at ALL kinds of conventions, not just furry ones- so I'd wait 'till I find friends who want to go too, or I'd be miserable the whole time.

*shakes head* Kunoichiban, I just think that it's sad that you would rather argue out about how your misconception of furries is disgusting instead of simply doing the research to find out that most furries agree with you. Furries who are into bestiality is shunned from the culture in almost all cases. And for those who have fursuit sex, the tiny percentage of them who do, usually keep quiet about it because people act like you do.

It's just kinda sad that you're determined to try and convince furries that you're right and not, well, the furries. :/
