Gaia is amazing once you find some places to chat, groups/guilds to get along with, or carve your little niche out. I used to be a heavy exchanger waaay back in 'o3/'o4, now I tend to lurk.

And that's good to hear! hehe and oh! umm hmm let's see..

I'm not very good at giving at advice but I'll tell you a few things.

I met some of my first friends while playing some games while
chatting in the past. I also went to the Chatterbox forum a lot
when I was a noob because I didn't know where to start but I guess
you can go in there to see what the forum is like? lolol
But then I eventually got dragged into the Mini Shops forum
which was divided into subforums such as the art freebies, art shops, etc.
(feel free to click on the link and browse to see what they look like)
xD I usually find myself being in those forums all the time.
Whether I drew people for free or bought art, sold art or whatever.
I made a lot of friends because I connected with them through my art. uvu; ahaha
I'm not really sure if art is your thing but maybe you can
probably request art of your gaia avatar if you really wanted.
My advice to you is think of what you really love and go discover
the forums in depth and you'll probably meet some interesting people. c:
There are also guilds on Gaia that you might be interested in depending
on what you like. You should go explore those too. xD

Hmm also there's a number on the top right-hand corner of the site.
Click on it and you'll see it takes you to your achievements.
Mostly everyone on Gaia try to complete them. Just see for yourself. ^p^

But yeah feel free to ask me any questions at all if you have any.
