Can truth be slander?

No. Your point?

I'm absolutely crushed that racial issues are such a taboo that stormfront has the more enlightened point of view. That shouldn't ******** happen. I'm even more frustrated that people are calling Geert 'far-right' like it is some kind of insult. This is just a bad situation period. The argument isn't even about Wilders being correct, it's about freedom of speech. The fact that he's on trial should scare you. If it doesn't, read the article until it does.

If he is actually prosecuted, it could very well be the death knell for the western world.

It's the Netherlands. Their decisions do not shape the rest of Western culture.

You haven't read much into this case, have you?

I read the article. Is there another source I should be reading?

And, again; your point?

My point is the man is on trial for speech. He's not a fringe lunatic. His party is doing very well at the polls. Better then any other political party in the country even. Here's an op-ed article on the whole debacle. This is Orwellian suppression.

But Orwellian suppression of someone that I dislike is a good thing. Right?

It's even scarier because most people do support him.

Sounds like the average white supremacist. Still, i don't see how most of the things they put up in this paper can even be considered illegal.

Hm, ok, the average "Christian" conservative.

If the average Christian conservative is objectively right about much of anything (like Geert Wilders is), I'm going drop my jaw.

Wilders is an atheist. Most of political viewpoints are liberal.

I don't know him. He's not Christian?
Well, could have figured that because he never mentions Christianity or Christian values...

So, what makes him that? A realist? An inconvenient truth?

I'm fairly certain it's a translation, although it's possible (not likely) it's in English.

Intolerance of more intolerance is at the core of liberal values. Without it you have nothing. It's something of a paradox, and sometimes difficult to grasp, but it is important. The price of freedom is eternal vigilance.
I really need to fit all my stuff in a single post, but here's an excerpt from a liberal blog. (http://www.opednews.com/)

The remedy for the paradox of tolerance is, of course, that tolerance can't tolerate intolerance. But this truism is often greeted with the response that if tolerance is intolerant of something, it is in breach of itself: it becomes self-defeating in another way. The answer is to insist that although it's natural to think that tolerance is a warm, woolly, feel-good attitude, in fact it is a principle: it's an ethical demand that everyone should respect everyone else's rights and liberties. And this does the trick all by itself. Tolerance is not a demand to license just anything whatever, least of all behaviour that threatens the rights of others. Tolerance thus has its central place in the good society along with other principles that stop it from being a merely flabby acceptance that anything goes.

These are the principles of pluralism and individual liberty, which essentially require tolerance, but indicate its rational limit. Insisting on this vital point is what explains why tolerance not only cannot but must not tolerate intolerance.

That's about the dumbest thing I ever heard.
