I have a very hard time believing that they write their own songs.

That would be funny if there's a company boardroom of execs in hollywood that is all "ok, go to the local hipster dive bar...find me four scruffy but clean cut all american guys in urban outfitters regalia. Have em sing in a falsetto voice, put lots of jangly indie pop rock hooks, new order bass guitars, lots of hand clapping, "yeahs!", and even possibly tamborines...oh and have them make a hit summer anthem about kids, or young people or the youth of today"
