- Evolution is neither fact, nor fiction. Creationism is neither fact, nor fiction.
Both evolution and creationism are based upon theories, which are based upon the evidence in which both sides have gathered for their arguments. In a way, neither can ever be proven fact or fiction either way. Even if scientists came out one day and announced that evolution was 100% fact, there would still be millions of people who would disagree and continue to follow creationism. It would be no different in reverse, rendering both sides unable to reach a definite conclusion.
I would write more, but I'm awfully tired... xd
Creationism is hardly a theory.
The difference here is that evolution, as a theory, could be disproven with sufficient evidence.
- I disagree. I'm an Atheist, so naturally I sway more toward evolution, but Creationists use science to try and prove their beliefs. In ways, it is indeed a theory - though I admit, not a very plausible one.
Edit: I'm not saying evolution cannot be disproven, simply that even if it was, people would still regard it as a theory due to their personal beliefs. Yes?
Do you even know what a scientific theory is? Creationism isn't a theory, it isn't even a hypothesis. It isn't anything, has no evidence and can never be made fasifiable because it isn't testible.
It isn't science.
