Many aspects of evolution have been proven false (the big bang, cavemen etc.) even Darwin didn't believe it to be true! He said it was a possibility but he didn't actually think it was true. The only reason it is still taught in schools is because its the "norm" in a classroom. stare which works for society but I still think its stupid. if they're going to keep on teaching it at least update the information that you're putting into these kids minds.

Also many of the things in the Bible have been found and proven. Not saying that I need proof (I believe it without proof) but the fact that scientists (who believed in evolution) have actually gone and proven Christianity to themselves while trying to prove it false is amazing!

You show your ignorance by thinking the Big Bang is an aspect of evolution.
Evolution is the prevailing scientific theory that explains can be used to explain, how from the simplest form of life, variety came to be, that is species came to be. It shows how mutations can happen and how eventually new species can emerge.

The Big Bang, which is a cosmological scientific theory, has nothing to do with the biological theory of evolution, it explains how what was before our Universe came to 'evolve' into this form, how our Universe came to be created.

And how have 'cavemen' and the Big Bang been prove false?

He said it was a possibility but he didn't actually think it was true.

When did he say that? And where is it recorded that he said it?
It doesn't really matter what he believed, the evidence speaks for itself.

You're working on the unproven claim that 'many aspects of evolution have been proven false.'
It is still taught in schools because the Biology curricula requires it.

Which things? And how where these things proven?

What scientists? Name them.
How did they prove Christianity?

well nice of you to reveal your a ******** idiot right off the bat. Big bang, is NOT evolution. Isn't related actually, given all evolution does is explain variety of life. Hell it doesn't even address the start of life, simply life already here. Abiogenisis and such like that does, using evolutionary theory for support but that is another theory. Cavemen, well you need to explain how that have been proven false. Well, you need to explain a lot of things here really...

again, please either provide proof or don't bother speaking at all. I am sick of hearsay and outright bullshit. The only thing I can even think of relating to this would be darwin's remark about the eye, which is itself quote-mining, an insidious practie of taking words out of context to say what you want them to rather then what they meant to convey.

Quote:

Well this is utter bullshit as well. I wonder if your typing with your feet here. If it was only taught because it was the norm, you'd first have to explain how it became the norm as religion fought tooth and nail against this being taught in schools. It still does. In fact there are still cases where it is taken to court and creationism is regularly schooled (lol) and rejected as bullshit. Also doesn't help that evolution HASN'T been debunked yet, dispite your obvious lies to the contrary.

the beauty of sciences is that they DO update. When a flaw is found in a theory, any theory, the thing is reassessed, the bad stuff dropped, the good stuff kept and added to and then it is represented. It happened with gravitational theory when Newtonian was touched on by Einstein. Evolution doesn't seem to change much to be "updated" mainly because it was a solid concept and any new evidence we have been finding simply supports it (genetics for instance).
Ironic that a person who favors a belief of a creator from a 2000 year old book would b***h about updating anything...

examples. Now. Either start providing evidence for your many claims or just shut up please your giving me a headache from the stench of this crap.

once again, science and religion are very different. Science, unlike faith, relies on evidence and observable phenomenon. Constant testing. Constant renewal.
also, once again, provide some evidence for scientist proving the bible and christianity or stop making claims. See this is how science at it's most basic works. When you make a hypothesis, you test it. When you make a claim, you provide evidence to back it up. You haven't provided a lick of evidence. Evolution has mountains of evidence, is observable in itself and is practicable theory (look at germs and medicine to see how we rely on evolutionary theory daily). You, on the other hand, simple make a lot of (currently)baseless claims.

Moving on...

Like what?

I smell a persecution complex. Since when was science actively against any sort of religion? Last time I checked, religion was outside the realm of science.
Haha it's so easy for science enthusiasts to pick at individual pieces of someone's post and demand proof or some sort of citation. Back to the topic at hand; Evolution breaks three known Laws of science. And as we all know, no theory can be relevant if it breaks any of the known laws. For those of you that are going to say, "prove it!" I suggest you go to google and type in "the three laws of science evolution violates." You will find that it violates two Laws of Thermodynamics, and also the Law of Conservation of Information.

Well, gee, maybe because the person making a claim kind of has to back that claim up. This is also known as the burden of proof.

Quantum fluctuation, anyone?

The...what, now?
AngelofRelief
it violates two Laws of Thermodynamics

Ignoring the rest of your dumbassery, how does evolution even relate to thermodynamics?

If you're getting the Big Bang mixed up with evolution, I can understand where you're getting thermodynamics from. But, in that case, you know nothing about science, not even enough to know that you know nothing, and shouldn't be taking part in dicussions about science. I mean, if I thought Christianity was about eating babies and worshipping Baal, I wouldn't participate in a discussion about it, especially if I was planning on acting as condescending as you just did.

It also seems like they love running off after their claims have been throughly debunked...
Amiya-Hatchi
even Darwin didn't believe it to be true!

Ignoring the fact that that's an obvious lie, why in the 52 flavors of ice cream hell should we care about what some 19th century dead guy thought about a precursor to a modern scientific theory?
AngelofRelief
Haha it's so easy for science enthusiasts to pick at individual pieces of someone's post and demand proof or some sort of citation.

well it does make addressing points far easier when you address them one at a time. Also, burden of proof demands you back up your claims or just shut the ******** up. In fact, if you can't back up your claims, you really aren't doing science at all, your talking out your a**.
Quote:

except, it doesn't. Lord Setar may have covered this in his post already, so I'll not beat a dead horse. Off the top of my head though, I know that thermodynamics don't apply to evolution because they are for different types of systems. If you would just google "thermodynamics in evolution debunked"...oh right, I better just link it so here it is. Here

good thing evolution doesn't.

first I am not going to do your leg work for you. just find the exact article your talking about and link it. Secondly, to do otherwise leave it open for you to claim it was something different you meant to site and I so hate to leave bolt-hatches for people to squirm out of after they make such bold claims and bullshit statements.
I've already address the thermodynamics argument. As for the conservation of energy, you are gonna need to explain how it applies. I can see two (flawed) way you could try to bullshit a faulty argument about it, but I want to know what your meaning. On top of that it seems it is debated even being called a law in the first place, making it invalid to claim that evolution violates a law when it isn't a law in the first place. Otherwise I may just thing your pulling your information right of a creationist site and actually don't understand a lick of the science your referring to...
I know multiple people who research these things professionally and can back up every last one of my claims with a very good amount of proof. it might be a while before they can get on and post it because they're up in Flagstaff right now but once they get back I will get them to pour out their information all over this argument. I am personally done with you people for now. You're annoyingly stubborn and I have better things to do than listen to you ramble on in ignorance. If you're just going to say the same thing as the person before you then don't. See you when my friends make you all look like idiots! lol (btw AngelofRelief, thanks. You spoke my mind! biggrin )

Make us all look like idiots? Please. I could probably destroy most of your "friends" myself, and if not I could refer you to people who are studying biology and physics, as well as someone with a degree in astrophysics - all three of whom are very committed to ripping creationists apart here and will probably shred them with greater detail than myself.
