Okay...If we evolved from some monkey....or some mindless fish...or whatever...how come we still aren't evolving? Yes if such a thing was real it would take a very long time but we would still see it! It is a ever ending process, there would be a monkey pop out of its mothers womb with baby legs and monkey body, we would have found hundereds of big foots and we would catch a fish that could talk.

To an Evolutionist....Creationism is questionable....to a creationist Evolutonisim is VERY questionable.

Firstly, we share a common ancestor with monkeys; we didn't evolve from them. And we surely didn't evolve from "some mindless fish," as you put it. As for your question, we are evolving. For crying out loud, evolution doesn't operate like Pokemon, or the X-Men; we have to wait hundreds of thousands of years to see significant changes become permanent. And as Kaizer Kobra mentioned, don't use the term "evolutionism" - this isn't a matter of belief.

Eh. Creationism is over-rated. Besides... I don't much care for the way so many christians push their faith on others... It's like what Hitler wanted to do... but slower... and more insidious.

I assure you, Athiests are just as bad about pushing their beliefs on others.

Beliefs? I wasn't aware we had beliefs. I mean there's the one about there not being any deities, but that's hardly being pushed onto others like the Christians do of their beliefs.

the belief that God does not exist, and yes Atheists do push that just as bad as Christians, most I have spoken too, get all pissed off when you mention God and they go on a rant about how he does not exist, not all are that way

Most atheists don't do that where I live - they don't even mind if you have a religion. They get irritated, though, if someone aggressively attempts to convert anyone within hearing distance, under a misguided thought that those who don't rigidly follow a narrow worldview are going to hell for it.

I don't agree with pushing any religious beliefs on anyone. If I believe someone is going to hell, I pray for them and I keep it to myself.

My sentiments, exactly. Personally, I have no religion, and I don't see why people would think that my behavior (whatever that entails) justifies a position in hell. No one's ever said to me that I'm hellbound unless I repent, though.

I don't know you personally, but I have seen you a bit in the ED, and I would never tell you that you are going to hell, I honestly don't think you are, but then again, I believe its not for me to decide that.

So how about that God, huh? Is the jury still out on the identity of the deity governing the cosmos?

I personally believe in God, I know there is no proof that he exists, but there is also none that he does not, I have always had faith in God, I feel that my prayers get answered. If someone makes fun of me for that, so be it, I don't care.

Every other religion treats their deity (or pantheon) the same way. Don't get me wrong, though - there's no problem with taking a deity's existence on faith. I'm simply not one of those people who can.

Honestly, I'm editing this post because the response I made before was WAY too under-thought-out. So, in turn, I'd like to point out that one of my Older Cousins is an Atheist, and she's one of the nicest people I know. So are all of her friends, and they don't push their beliefs on me even though I have my own unique beliefs. Aside from that, Atheists in Colorado and Virginia aren't like the naz-erm, I mean, "Christian Fundamentalists" that you find throughout the parts of America I've been to.
Also, the Poll needs more options. What if you're a Reiki practitioner? I mean, they have their own beliefs, so... >.>

The reason is quite simple. There is no reason for us to evolve.

We're still evolving, love. And what makes you think we've completely mastered our environment? Nature doesn't exist in a vacuum; we don't have control over earthquakes, meteor impacts, volcanic activity or any other catastrophe that could likely wipe our sizable chunks of the human population.

Way to quote only one part of my post although the rest of the post explains and even says that we did evolve.

Except these things dont have a constant effect on us. Something that happens suddenly and then stops isn't going to cause natural selection to start taking place. And also the fact is that humanity is so wide spread around the earth, that unless we are all hearded around, no form of evolution takes place. And we are not going to end up like a space odesy where we become enery beings. We wont get magical powers.

I second that.
The amount of actual Scientific Fact that is in The Bible is staggering.
Such as the dimensions of the Ark. Scientists proved that this boat was almost impossible to capsize, due to its size and shape. They didn't have the technology back then to actually work this out!

yes but that just prooves my point, science didnt exsist 200 3000 years ago wen this bible weas suposedly writen it was all religion so how did science get in the bible? its a story made to scare kids into bein good

oh and to make ppl powerful, how powerful is the pope? he has control of half the earth,

Actually... Medical Science was at an all time high, rivaling our abilities now. Before the time of Jesus they had the ability to remove carteracts from eyes. THAT is really delicate work.

medical science was at an all time high.....

care to prove this rather bold statement? I'd like to see evidence of organ transplants, for instance.
