the truth is that nobody really knows, and everyone comes up with their own ideas so they don't have to wonder. no one can prove the bible is real and no one can prove it's not. man claimed that god "told" them how to write the bible. he very well could have, or those people could be full of s**t. i personally think that the bible has been changed over the years. it has been passed on and men have added and taken out things. supposedly there is this one version that tells about reincarnation, giving second chances, etc. however back to my point, people just come up with these things, because people can not stand not knowing what's going to happen in the "afterlife".
I don't think you understand how burden of proof works. Be default, those who beleive in the bible must prove it to be correct, otherwise, I could say anything I want
Chaos Piotyr 3:16 And he reached out with his noodly appendage to touch those that beleived in him, in all his glory. In the beginning was the word, and the word was with the Flying Spaghetti Monster and the word was the Flying Spaghetti monster. He was with the Flying Spaghetti Monster in the beginning.
As true today as it was, when it was written.
Actually, the way that burdon of proof works is differn than what you suggested. Those making the claim have to prove it. If I were to say "The bible is 100% literally true" then I would have to prove it. However, if someone else came up to me and said "The bible is 100% bullshit" then they would have to prove it.
This is the format:
A: Claim (burdon of proof on this)
B: Counter-claim (assumed to be true until proven otherwise)
A: Proof (backing up original claim)
A: Argument against counter-claim (assumed to be true until proven otherwise)
B: Proof (backing up counter-claim)
B: Arugment against Argument (assumed to be true until proven otherwise)
