And you get this idea from.......?
Also... I don't agree with the part in your siggy that says Theories aren't guesses because they are EDUCATED guesses, if they were fact then they would be a law and not a theory.
You obviously don't understand the definition of a scientific theory. I have a great site handy that can explain the differences and why a theory does not become a law. It should be
here.
P.S.: An educated guess is a hypothesis.......not a theory.
Well, thank you. I appreciate the learning experience. I guess Bio teachers aren't as smart as they think they are. I was told that, at least it was cleared up. But seriously, why the bashing, all I'm doing is sharing my opinions and my knowledge to as far as what I've learned and all you can do is take what you think is right...but whatever.
I wasn't bashing....though I may have been stern. My science teacher claimed the same thing....but I'll take what scientists say it is over them any day.
Yeah, just a little stern, haha! Like I said, I appreciate the clear up.
3nodding I still just don't get why everyone hates Creationism. I think(since I've read the Bible and am a believer of it) that it makes a bit more sense than Evolution because I've never exactly found a tie between us and animals(I mean a close knit tie), but I see miracles and things almost every day. Science said my grandpa was gonna die, but he's been getting better every day. That's why I don't trust it too much...
The tie between us and other animals is a LONG path that would look better during firsthand research.....but every now and then Discovery has a special called "Walking With Cavemen" that goes through nearly all of the evolutionary steps, between our earliest primate ancestor to modern humans, that we've found.
I used to be Christian but I've become full-fledged atheist. I guess my experience on both sides has given me some type of insight.......maybe......
Everyone hates Creationism because all the major proponents use psudoscience, half-truths, misconceptions, misnomers, and sometimes flat out lies to scrape up enough "evidence" to support it. The really sad part is that a major portion of it's adherants believe the stuff said by those proponents.
Science, especially in medicine, isn't flawless. The thing is, science can modify itself so that it is no longer as flawed. Medicine is hard to predict because it has one huge outlier: the human body. It isn't unheard of for someone to "will" themselves better because of some thing as minor as that they
think they recieved something that could cure them. That's why all drugs are tested against a placebo. .......Of course, the body can function the other way with depression (or something similar) actually causing physical health problems......
