Well first, though we have common links, we could not have evolved from monkeys... Monkeys evolved to differnt types of monkeys. You cant deny evolution, there are fossils as facts. Even strict god worshippers know that things do evolve, it is how species survive. Now as god, I have my doubts.

I didn't realize Egyptian was a religion.

But anyways, Evolution is a true and recognized fact. There's not really any proof against it. We have bones and fossils and organisms that we can genetically and physiologically trace the geneaology of many organisms over time...

Of course, some people believe that God put that all there to trick us. But I think that's a bit of a stretch...

Mind is not a physical objecy, it is a concept of the self, it does not have a location as such, it is the impression of the brain's own existance.

Thankyou therefore cannot reate somthing not made of matter.

I think what he means is:
Mind is not matter, The Big Bang Theory states that it created all "matter", but since the mind isn't matter it couldn't be created by the Big Bang so how do we have a mind.

((That's kind of what I think of when I here mind over matter, but I know that's not what it applies to))

But the mind would be "created" by the brain. It's pretty much a concept rather than something material. Just like instincts. They're not matter, but I think everyone can agree that they exist and are created by the brain (Actually, wouldn't they be part of the mind?)

Ah the rude, elitist greetings of the Gaian community. How I've missed you.

I actually only posted because my eyes glanced at this thread and the thought came to mind, if you check my profile it has been a very long time since I've posted on here. I'm on a much more civil and respectful forum now that has banned religious and political discussion to keep the peace.

There was a community petition to bring them back so I posted a link here as a example of why it is a bad idea, the endless flame wars produced by this forum made a good example.
