Be that as it may, everything in our genes can be found in either our mothers or fathers genes as well. nothing new is added,

False. Every generation, on average, 65 mutations occur.

Do you mean through meiosis or mitosis? I can't help but think that over the course of the human lifespan the DNA gets a little more tattered than that.

If it makes you feel better: many pagans worship pre-Christian dieties. But can you find me a post-Christian deity?

Allah. Oh sure, maybe he's the same as the Judaic God. Maybe all gods are one. But then you'd have to explain why the same God condones Christian fundementalists insisting that all other religions are wrong, and Muslim fundementalists doing the same thing.

How so? Considering the fact that I am Pagan, and I worship Cernunnos. Please explain. I would seriously like to know.
You said that one needed to worship a pre-Christian deity to be a Pagan. This is not so, as a post-Christian will do just fine.

That Murray error of sociology that Wiccans worship.

*snickers*
I'll definitely give that one to you.

Last I knew, Pagan meant possessing no religion.....is that just another definition or what?
Pagan generally means any religion that doesn't share roots with Christianity, Judaism, or Islam.

A flaw is a deviation from the ideal. All things in the world are flawed versions of everything but themselves; everything is perfect as it is. Any argument from perfection is, thus, flawed, as the words mean the same thing from different perspectives.

There is no such thing as a flawed idea; knowledge is absolute and all contention comes from lack of knowledge, hence, lack of an idea.
Evolution holds no stand in fact whatsoever. Charles Darwin himself admitted on his deathbed that he made up all of it in order to gain publicity and a mass wealth for scientific discoveries.

Except that it IS a fact.
I'm too sick of repetition to make links, go back and read the thread.

Complete, utter lie.

You will, of course, prove that this itself isn't a lie like the last time it was mentioned in this thread.

Oh? And how do you explain that Darwin wasn't a con-artist?

ive seen alot of monkeys. ive never seen any of them turn in to men.

That's because we didn't evolve from monkies, but a common ancestor.

Evolution is fact. I don't believe in it, believe implies faith. I know it's true.

HI LANGLEN!

'Faith in evolution'? That's how you know it's true? Well, my faith in Jehovah lets me know that the Bible and creationism is true.

Yes. Links that lead to biased statements from scientists ( and please don't get to mad when I say that, I'm sure you've said that same thing against Christians ).

I'm guessing that no one here has ever taken Anthropology yet. neutral

Actually, "pagan" is derived from the Latin term "pagani," used roughly in the sense of a hick. It's a term used to lump together all the "barbarian" peoples and their religions, such as the Gauls, Celts, and the various -goths.

So, generally, "pagans" tend to live in tribal structures, and worship localised deities and/or be animistic.

Even if the Deathbed Recant of Darwin occurred, what of it? Bacteria that can and must eat Nylon byproduct certainly exist now, and certainly did not exist before its food source, in 1937! Guess what that is... yupper, evolution.

Evolution is observable, has been observed, and in the specific case of human evolution had been hypothesised long before Darwin's grandfather had been conceived.

Tell me then, why wasn't Mendel branded a heretic for coming up with genetic theories in violation of Jacob's Ringstraked Wonderstaff experiment in Genesis 30?

I was tempted to draw up an image representing the mathematical equation stating that one or two per hundred is about right, but then I figured it was too much effort for a joke that very few people would get and no-one woudl think funny.

A) I have said the same thing sometimes, about ANTI-EVOLUTION CREATIONISTS, usually after their bias is already laid bare. Many Christians, even many scientists who are Christian, accept the observed, documented, known fact of evolution and, because of seeing this fact, accept the current Theory of Evolution to explain the fact of evolution. Because Evolution is a Fact and Theory. A Fact and Theory. A Fact and Theory.
B) I will get mad if you try ad hominem fallacies and expect to get away with it. Really, accusing the 95% of scientists who accept Evolution of being biased is a baseless, paranoid assertion which you will have a hard time proving. That said, prove it. Now.
C) I have taken Anthropology. What of it?
D) I am a Christian. That does not mean I get to ignore observable reality.

So let's review: You assumed that it's Christianity vs. Evolution. This is a False Dilemma. You Ad Hominem'd scientists, asserting implicitly that you know better than they do the facts regarding Evolution. You assumed I call Christians (Creationists) biased, in the process implying that I am not Christian. You assumed nobody here has recieved formal education in Anthropology, which is untrue.

Oh, and Langlen said that she DIDN'T have faith in Evolution, she accepted it because of the facts and evidence in its favor. With that sort of backing, you don't need "faith."

Fair notice, I'm getting really sick of people running in here without reading the thread, repeating anti-Evolution sentiments, and never being able to back them up. If you cannot put up a decent argument, you WILL go on report. I expect you to cite sources and expand upon the points you've already made, and counter the points I've just made. Otherwise, feel free to post an apology for wasting our time and bow out. I say "wasting our time" pre-emptively because there is NOTHING you have said which I haven't smashed into the ground this week alone.

As someone who thoroughly respects Vryko, and has had to fight very hard to get him to concede, I'm gonna back him up on this one. Vryko is one of the few posters who has made me work hard to prove a point (which admittedly was WAY off topic, but very entertaining).
If you can't handle his points, you may as well not show up here again. He is one of the finest debaters I've ever come to blows, intellectually, with.
