I beg to differ. Pagans try to worship deities that were around PRIOR to Christianity. Satanism is an offshoot of Christianity, because it uses the Christian Satan and perverts his Christian image around. Granted, the Christians stole his image from the Pagans, but they use their own dogma to create the "Satan" that we know today. If you are going to worship the being the looks like Satan, then you'd be worshipping Pan, or Cernunnos. Very different ideologies. Satan is the rebel fighting agaisnt the all-mighty powerful Christian God.

Pardon?

Does not worship the God of Abraham = Pagan

Satanism, both theistic and atheistic, fits this requirement perfectly, and can therefore be legitimately classified as such.

It's just your standard misuse of semantics and spotting "differences" so subtle that everyone else can't see them. "It's not evolution is adaptation…" rolleyes

Where, exactly, has he made a standard misuse of semantics?

I mean, when a pesticide that a farmer always uses suddenly fails and his crops fall to insects and diseases, I hardly find that to be a "subtle" difference.

Pagan comes from the Latin paganus which simply means rustic, villager. Essentially it is a "redneck." (http://www.takeourword.com/TOW143half/page2.html)

I disagree on your definition of Paganism, and after some thought with your definition of Satanism as well. In fact I suspect you know not what either of the terms mean.

How so? Considering the fact that I am Pagan, and I worship Cernunnos. Please explain. I would seriously like to know.
You said that one needed to worship a pre-Christian deity to be a Pagan. This is not so, as a post-Christian will do just fine.

If it makes you feel better: many pagans worship pre-Christian dieties. But can you find me a post-Christian deity?

And assuming that you are not a Roman hick, I'm fairly sure the modern definition is something entirely different.

My ideal self?

Not a very massive deity, but a deity, inspiration, and aspiration all the same in my beliefs.

Worship of gods is optional for pagans, you know that right? My people are quite content to follow the Spirits instead of a god. We've been doing it for quite a while and we find it works for us. 3nodding

You just said that monkeys evolved from adam, meaning man...

Not what i really wanted to say. I was speaking specifically of humanity. Truth is I never could believe evolution. I just never made any sense to me.

Tsubasa_Gaijin

Evolution is the changing of genes from geration to generation.

You don't look exactly like your parents, and even if you do, you know of someone who looks diffrent from their parents..

The physical and other diffrences are exspressions of the genes.

Be that as it may, everything in our genes can be found in either our mothers or fathers genes as well. nothing new is added, so evolution needs a bit more explaining.

Yes, I'm sure that goes a long way towards making things false.

Cite for this? Preferably from a reliable study.

False. Every generation, on average, 65 mutations occur.
I'm amused. Technically, wouldn't YVWH be a pre-christian diety?

Erm, you ever so slightly misunderstood what I was saying.

Creationists ignore the evidence by suggesting that it is "adaptation" and not "evolution"—which is an excercise in semantics, evolution is adaptation—or by bringing up the micro and macro debacle which I regard as "subtle" [or so subtle the distinction does not exist and that the dichtomy is invalid].
