I beg to differ. Pagans try to worship deities that were around PRIOR to Christianity. Satanism is an offshoot of Christianity, because it uses the Christian Satan and perverts his Christian image around. Granted, the Christians stole his image from the Pagans, but they use their own dogma to create the "Satan" that we know today. If you are going to worship the being the looks like Satan, then you'd be worshipping Pan, or Cernunnos. Very different ideologies. Satan is the rebel fighting agaisnt the all-mighty powerful Christian God.
Pardon?
Does not worship the God of Abraham = Pagan
Satanism, both theistic and atheistic, fits this requirement perfectly, and can therefore be legitimately classified as such.

It's just your standard misuse of semantics and spotting "differences" so subtle that everyone else can't see them. "It's not evolution is adaptation…"

Where, exactly, has he made a standard misuse of semantics?
I mean, when a pesticide that a farmer always uses suddenly fails and his crops fall to insects and diseases, I hardly find that to be a "subtle" difference.
