I believe there are one or more Creators... I believe there are two, actually, because balance is an essentual part of life.

although this has nothing to do with the thread, lets talk. I would like to point out that appealing to balance for the existance of god + goddess is flawed. The universe is essentially unbalance. This is easily seen on the atomic level. You know how there is matter and anti-matter? Well, there is far more matter than anti-matter. They arent balanced. If they were, we would cease to exist. Of course, it everything wa smade of anti-matter instead of regular matter, we would still be fine. The point is, one must be dominant. There isnt balance. This extends through the whole universe.

I just want to know...what happened before Jesus?
And why could Mary get pregnant with out having sex way back when...but no one can do that now?
And if God created everyone the way he saw fit, why would we have rapists, and murderers, and Satanists?(i have nothing against satanists...but i bet god would...)
And if God is all forgiving, why is there a Hell?

I believe in evolution all the way...I'm still questiong life after death. But there is no way for me to know until I die. Whether there is a heaven or not, everyone should still live life the best that they can. I believe that if you live life right then you win either way....If there is a heaven, whoopie! party time! If not, at least you lived a good life and you most likely made someone else's life better...

I am a Buddhist in life style and moral...as for the whole God(s) thing.....I dont really care right now....What if I find out there is or isn't a God? Will that change the way I treat people? I dont think so.....

Samn's words of wisdom for the day.......

Those are some rather tough questions. Let me give you this phamplet, lol jk.
Mary got pregnant without sex b/c that was God's plan, hes God he can make it happen thats why it is called the emmaculate conceptoin.
God may have created everyone but he gave them the ability to chose, to chose him or the ways of theis world, that is why, unfortunately there are murders and rapists and bad things. The consoltation taht christianity offers for this is an ultimate day of jugdemetn in which all will be accounted for, aka the day a person dies.
He is all forgiving, people go to hell in christianity b/c they chose to through their sinful actions, and their not choosing of God as their savior. Still it does seem kinda harsh, but you were just complaning about rapists and murderers weren't you?
Yea life after death is kinda funny in that you only know if its real too late to do anything about it.
A question I have for bhudism is how do you live right, more so how do you determine what right is?
To stay on topic I personally believe that there is evolution. But I dont think that we humans came from lightining strick mud or wahtever the theory is.

Well there are two major types of Buddhism. There are those that believe that Gautama is a "savior" if you will, and most of these people follow the Five Precepts: Do not kill, do not steal, do not lie, do not missuse sex, do not consume alchohol or drugs...The basics....These are usually the hardcore Monks and such. Then there are those that believe Gautama was, and still is a teacher, and a mortal human being. They also believe in the Five Precepts but mostly that you live life as best you can. The right way to live depends on the person. You know if you've done something wrong. The right way to live is to live to your own best, what you believe is right.

jesus did exsist but him n his 12 diciples were con artests
for example wen he cured the lepper, he paid som e man to go into th enext town n tell a great story of how he had leppers and jesus cam along and cured it and how he was goin to arive in that ton in a few days.

thats my opinion

Why, then, would Jesus and his disciples die brutal deaths for what they believed if what they believed was all a con?

Lots of people die for a belief that's totally loony, my dear. Being obsessed with a belief to the point of lunacy doesn't give any validity to the belief.

(1) Doesn't it just make more sense that an all-knowing, all-powerful, all-good deity created the world out of nothingness, from magic, essentially, and then punished us for eating a piece of fruit, and then incarnated himself in human flesh and came down to shed his own blood so he could break his own rules, and then went through hell on a temporary basis and then went back into the sky and promised to come back and take everyone who believed in him to this heaven no one has ever seen?
(2) Well, doesn't it?
(3) Therefore, God exists.

What, you're saying it's not possible for someone to believe something strongly and be wrong?

Anyone who studies life sciences should know that evolution is so much probable than creation.............

Not every single religion is going to be on the poll....don't get all pissed off, its not a big deal....

I am still completely incredulous that creationists can actually wave off DIRECT OBSERVATION and continue to say evolution is false. It absolutely befuddles me.

It's just your standard misuse of semantics and spotting "differences" so subtle that everyone else can't see them. "It's not evolution is adaptation…" rolleyes

I beg to differ. Pagans try to worship deities that were around PRIOR to Christianity. Satanism is an offshoot of Christianity, because it uses the Christian Satan and perverts his Christian image around. Granted, the Christians stole his image from the Pagans, but they use their own dogma to create the "Satan" that we know today. If you are going to worship the being the looks like Satan, then you'd be worshipping Pan, or Cernunnos. Very different ideologies. Satan is the rebel fighting agaisnt the all-mighty powerful Christian God.

I disagree on your definition of Paganism, and after some thought with your definition of Satanism as well. In fact I suspect you know not what either of the terms mean.

Pardon?

Does not worship the God of Abraham = Pagan

Satanism, both theistic and atheistic, fits this requirement perfectly, and can therefore be legitimately classified as such.

Where, exactly, has he made a standard misuse of semantics?

I mean, when a pesticide that a farmer always uses suddenly fails and his crops fall to insects and diseases, I hardly find that to be a "subtle" difference.

How so? Considering the fact that I am Pagan, and I worship Cernunnos. Please explain. I would seriously like to know.

Because "Pagan" much like "American" is an umbrella term for many different kinds of people.
