Particularly as it is both a fact (the observable fact that evolution occurs) and a theory (the scientific theory of how it has "worked", long-term).

What are you talking about? there is a reason that they call it the theoryof evolution; a theory is some thing that is not proven beyond doubt! There are plenty of cracks in the proof; there isn't a single factual complete fossil record which proves long term evolution. Even the base of the base of the theory of the base is flawed; genetic mutation, which supposedly generates new information. If you look around you, whenever some genetic mutation occurs in an animal, the result is detrimental! Look at Down's syndrome, or cystic fibrosis! Mutation is a loss of information!

the bible is not fact and should never be interpreted as the literal truth. the bible is not full of crap ither. but as one of the worlds oldest religions and the starter of cristianity, it needed a away to explain the world when science was not very well developed yet. all religions do this, and its for a good reason, it gives instite and explination for why we are here and the meaning of life, and since it it the only answer we have been able to come up with, reasonable answer, we have to at least acnolage it untell a beter answer is concluded. evolution is truth. evolution was set up by god even if everything was just started by god, much like knocking over the first domino (after creating them of course). we have profe and in some intances witnessed evolution first hand. denying that proof is not wise in my opinion.
