[1.] THREAD MINIMUM = 10,000g. There is NO MAXIMUM DONATION!! Please keep in mind that the average donation in here is 15-20k. Giving lower than that regularly will not lead to people donating lots to you in return.
Please give from the heart and give how you wish to be given to – when giving, think of the golden rule: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. (This includes deleting posts to attempt to win a contest or to avoid having to donate after being donated to.)
[1a.]When sending items, the value of a store item is determined by the lowest market price unless inflated.
In cases in question, that will be determined by the mods considering various factors.
[1b.]If an item is not found in the stores, then the value of that item is based on both the lowest market price and the average buy price.
For example, if you notice that an item is 100k on the MP but is listed with an average buy price or store price of 5k, don't give it in here and think you can get away with the MP price. If the lowest market price and average buy price are within a reasonable amount of one another, feel free to give the item. smile
[1c.]When sending game items, please note that they are worth .5g each,
which means you must donate 20,000 worth to equal the thread minimum. This includes ALL game items EXCEPT Ink, Bugs, Cans, Boots, Crumbled paper bags and tickets. Those items are valued at their lowest buy price. zOMG Items Are valued at their overall lowest buy price PER PIECE (not altogether).
[1d.]Giving the minimum is strongly discouraged. If you are sent 2 warnings for giving the minimum you will be banned on the third strike.
For the purposes of this thread the minimum will be considered anything from 10,000g - 10999g. The first time you donate min you will be asked to correct the donation in fairness to the recipient. If you are chronically found not to be donating in the spirit of this thread you will be banned.
[1e.]Chronic lowballing is no longer acceptable in this thread.
A ban for this reason will not be taken lightly.
[2.] GIFTBACKS are MANDATORY.
Trash (meaning ONLY crumpled paper, F-U foam hands, and Dunce Caps) is the only unacceptable giftback, even if you hate someone enough to want to give it to them. You can ONLY give it as a GIFTBACK if the person above you says that they are collecting it or that they like trash. Otherwise, put the trash in the garbage can and not in the trade! If someone does not giftback or gifts back trash, you may cancel the trade without penalty. Please note that you must wait 5 minutes with no giftback before canceling, this is to allow the person time to correct the error in case there was a mistake smile
[3.] NO personal blacklists or making own thread rules!
That just adds to drama. If someone slights you, see rule #10.
[4.] Real life issues can come up for all of us, so please allow 24 hours for a trade to be completed by the donor before canceling. If you are the victim of a trade canceled before the 24 hours and want to dispute it, a screen shot of the canceled trade and a PM to a mod within the 24 hour window will be required. The time of the PM/screen shot will be compared to the time of of the post. After the trade is canceled [without dispute] it can be resent at the donor's discretion if requested by the recipient.
It is also at the discretion of the donor to send a courtesy PM to see if something happened. If someone cancels the trade on you before time is up, please inform a moderator. You will get a warning if you don't follow this guideline.
[5.] Please allow a person NO LESS than 20 minutes to send a trade before reporting them to me for skipping.
Sometimes real life issues happen, or they might be getting you something special from your wishlist. A nicely worded reminder through PM or trade should give them the nudge that they need to give. If this still doesn’t work, please PM a thread moderator.
[6.] We require 5 lines or more in your post, or you will be considered a bumper and WILL be skipped. BUT post size should be: Short, Sweet and Simple.
Please don’t bring in the mile long post that you use in other dttpay threads into this thread – please make it easy to read with a nice tektek or a few simple quests.
[6a.]The exceptions to this rule are the regulars listed in the thread's whitelist.
They can post however they like (by bumping, posting with less than 5 lines, etc.) since they are clearly not skippers/bumpers.
[7.] TALKING IS VERY MUCH ENCOURAGED in this thread.
Posting robotically doesn’t really get us anywhere, so please talk in your post!! We cannot make friends if we just post the same thing over and over again.
[8.] Personal contests & lottos are allowed,
but if you are reported as scamming anyone in the thread, you will be banned. If we receive complaints about your contest and/or lotto, we will address any concerns we have about it with you, and may ask you to remove it from your post if it becomes problematic.
[9.] "Skip Me Posts" are not allowed in the thread
Once you post, you will be expected to donate. (except when mods or the mule are posting ANNOUNCEMENTS). Thanks.
[9a.] Please DO NOT sandwich post
unless you want to kill someone with a donation or if you were lowballed (bunch of junk items or otherwise low donation). If you are caught doing this otherwise, you will be warned and banned if it happens again.
[9b.]Please don't quote someone else's posts.
If you want to talk to someone, send them a PM, leave them a nice profile comment, or talk to them IN YOUR POST. Quoting people's posts stretches the page sometimes and can make it hard for people to figure out what you want, what you're questing for, and it's just plain annoying. Also, DO NOT QUOTE ANYTHING ON THE FIRST PAGE.
[9c.] Please do NOT delete posts!!!!
Deleting posts in order to avoid having to donate, especially after getting a donation, is NOT COOL. You will be automatically banned for doing this as this is just as bad, if not worse, than skipping.
[10.] NO Drama.
This place is about talking, making friends, and giving to each other nicely. If you have an issue, please take it up with whoever you have a problem with in PMs or contact a moderator – we will be happy to mediate for you.
[11.] FOLLOW THE T.O.S. (Gaia Terms of Service).
We cannot say this enough!!! We WILL report all T.O.S. violators.
[12.] What to do if think you are being skipped:
First check to see if the person has posted again. If so, PM them to see if they may have forgotten. Many times it is as simple as that. If the person does not respond and/or refuses to donate contact one of the mods. All skippers will be banned. Please initiate contact with a mod no more than 45 minutes from the time of the skip, the longer you wait the more time the skipper has to skip someone else.
[12a.] When reporting a person please try to take screenshots of the incident. If we have no proof when can only do so much. To take a screenshot:
Click the “Print Screen” or “PrntSC” button on the upper right of your keyboard. Open up paint or any other art program and paste the image. Save it. That is your screenshot. yjere is also an application called 'Fireshot' for firefox, it's fairly usefule too and will do most of the work for you.
[12b.] DO NOT PM TwilightEDEN. PM the mods or the mule, and WE WILL PM EDEN if it's needed. Thank you!
[13.] You must have your PMs set to everyone so that we can contact you if there is an issue, OR you must friend Infinity_Charity and any other MOD that you wish (although having them all on your friends list is awesome) so that we can contact you if there's a problem. If you do not have your PMs set to everyone and you haven't friended one mod and the owner of the thread, we will not allow you to post in the thread.
[14.] DO NOT GET INVOLVED IF YOU ARE NOT A MOD.
If you notice someone's broken a rule and you try to handle it yourself and you are not a mod, this is considered BACKSEAT MODDING (<---Definition) and is not allowed here. If you are caught acting like a mod or reported by someone for doing so, you will be warned once and then banned. We will not tolerate people acting like mods other than the mods (and even they hardly ever harass those that post).
[15.] You are not allowed to have a "biggest donor contest" in your thread or anywhere on Gaia.
Highest donator contests of any kind are NOT allowed on Gaia, and they're just plain wrong. If you are caught with one of these contests in the thread, you will be banned and directly reported to the Gaia mods.
[16.] Harassment of the regulars, mods and owner of this thread WILL NOT BE TOLERATED.
If you come in and troll, abuse and harass anyone that regularly posts here, you will be permanently banned from this thread and will be reported to the Gaia mods for harassment and any other infractions you may have committed. This especially goes for people that have harassed this thread in the past.
[16a.] DO NOT sass the mods or owners when they PM you about something.
If they PM you about your actions in the thread, it's for the good of the thread and everyone in it (including you!), so please don't do it. If you are upset, you are allowed to vent to the mod in question - however, sassing and/or mocking them (i.e. rolling your eyes, using caps, being a general a** with your responses to them) will not get you anywhere.
