Dumb school rules?

Mine's this tiny, private, kindergarten-8th grade school with 150 kids.
So, we're not allowed to have our cell phones out on school property, and we're not even supposed to bring iPods or MP3s to school. Several teachers tell us to take off any jewelry we're wearing, they have to sign the back of our our 'planner' (this book where we write down all our homework), which has about 40 spaces, and when we run out we're not allowed to go anymore.

but overall, I love my school <3

edit: oh, and we have to wear uniforms and tuck them in.
doesn't really bother me too much.

Lol there are some funny rules in here.
Well In my school you can have a boyfriend/girlfriend but you cant kiss, hug, sit NEAR or hold hands.....lol I still do all that.
Oh! and all snikers MUST be white.... rolleyes crap....private schools......

I have another one from the same friend who told me the bathroom rule: No glasses are to be worn in the school.

My school just this year (lol @ all the ******** who still have to deal with that school) decided to enforce the "lock outs before every period". A lock out (if you don't know) is where the teachers lock their doors when the bell rings and if you're still in the hallway (even if you're a foot from the door) when they lock you out, you get lunch detention. They also decided to not let the seniors have more then one free period this year which is lame as s**t. There was some other stupid s**t but I don't remember it and don't really care since I escaped that place last year. Mwahahaha.
Of course last year, they tried to keep us from bringing backpacks around the school with us...we were supposed to put them in our lockers because the staff got paranoid that we were going to start a shoot out...I brought mine around anyway and I kept it out the entire year. No one cared that I had it with me. The only people who gave a damn was the library staff and that's because the new head librarian was a douchecunt.

I don't see how this is a "dumb school rule".

As I've said before, school is for learning. You don't need to your cellphone or music-players to learn. In fact, if you have them out, there's almost a positive guarantee that you are trying to entertain yourself rather than pay attention to the class.

They recently banned us from one of the staircases and its exit to the outdoors, which just happens to be the one I use the most often. :/ They found ONE couple making out during class, so now they've turned my favorite staircase into america's most wanted. The campus my school is on houses ten other small schools and organizations as well, so it's huge. That staircase is the only way I used to get to some of my classes on time (without running my butt off).

I quote: "Footwear must be included at all times"
Meaning, if you want to be a smart a** about it, that you can just carry shoes around all day and it is within the rules. Yup, I can carry a flip-flop key chain and it is considered footwear.
Stupidest wording ever.

Ps.This is tried and test, at least in the middle school.

Also, at my sister's college: Clothing optional.
There are quite often people walking around naked, from what I've heard.

Most of the rules at my college are to do with clothes, iPods and the usual things.
I'm just grateful I'm not in high school anymore (yes, like several other people who have typed before, I'm British, and I had a uniform from primary to high school, the high school uniform we had to tuck in, though most of us never did).

Well for us we aren't allowed any electronic devices... yet five minutes before school starts they tell us we can listen to our iPods...... only to have them taken away later -_-

and uh we aren't allowed to use the schools phones, but we aren't allowed our cell phones... that makes getting ahold of your parents because you forgot to tell them that you had auditions that day and would be late coming home.

Post any pointless/dumb school rules here! I don't recall having any other than you can't go to the bathroom unless it's lunch.

At my school lunch is the last period, and if you have any way of leaving besides the buses you can leave and go home or whatever. The buses leave after lunch. Anyway, during lunch, you cannot use your cell phones. We can leave, but not use our phones. I don't really understand their reasoning for that at all.
