Anything that looks like it's worth anything costs real money.

Monthly Collectibles were fine. The early Evolving Items? I could deal with. But when they started to make Evolving Items that had maybe fifty or so different poses, well, you can kinda imagine how I felt. And then of course we've got that stupid MTV shop, that nobody actually really cares about? Plus now they're selling Cash Items in there as well. ZOMG came along and lots of people were excited, whoo! Until they found of, of course, that Gaia was again going to give the Cashers the upper hand with their Super-Charger Batteries and their Ring Cleaners and all that stuff. Oh, and let's not forget Aquarium, guys! You want fish? Give us five bucks! Decorations that aren't worthless? Howsa'bout ten? Oh, yeah, and just recently they've started selling these super duper "FameStar 2000" or whatever the heck they're called! It's like Faunzy's Flute! Only some of the items you get you can sell for a million gold in the Marketplace! Oh yeah and it's single use, so if you want to score big, better buy a lot!

This is getting ridiculous. Gaia's not a pay to play game, but you know what? It might as well be judging from all the cash we have to pay. Oh, I'm sorry, you wanted to get your way through life with just Gaia Gold? Obviously they favor people with a lot of dough to give, because you guys are stuck playing Pinball and Jigsaw and hoping you get a measly 300-400 gold for all your trouble. A skilled player might actually make a noticeable profit, but you know what? You could take a totally unskilled person to stroll into the Cash Shop and come out 100,000 gold richer. I don't think so.

I'm signing. There's nothing you can do about it.

Sorry to quote such a long post, but... My words exactly! And not only are those all big issues, but they also ignore site-wide glitches and such. There are still some of the same bugs in the games that have been there for three years or more now. When will Gaia get off it's butt and take care of the site rather than worry about raking in all the dough with new evolving items every other day? Seriously.

They break their own rules all the time, but the worst so far is still the whole "Gaia Cash Offers". I mean, why would you want to scam your own members while saying every other day how much of a big no no it is? Oi, Gaia, you have lost your marbles.

Hello everyone, I been a member since the summer of '06. I agree with all of you. There was a time where gaia was fine and free, but now those times are over with. The sites been littered with scams, advertisement cheating sites, and mutiple oppuritunitys where a virus could attack your computer. Unfortuantely, I was one of those hit with a virus from gaia during the so called "Prommagedon" event (I apologize for the misspelling) and was forced off my computer for 3 months due a complete crash of the system. Is nothing safe anymore? Please sign me up!

Gaia use to be a free social networking site
I use to come on during lunch and play puzzle and slots. Mostly puzzles. It was something fun for me I got only a couple of announcements for mc's and events in a month (maybe one for new manga/comic) and I had fun. But that was in 07. Now I get like 20 announcements a week practically, and 19 of them is for some cash crap D:<
I don;t mind MC since gaia needs the money but I seriously doubt theyre in the red now. I mean look in market for cash items up for gold,they are not struggling. us on the other hand is.On gaia you have 2 choices if you want something like Ace of spades. You can either can spend either $8-10 of your real money for it orspends hours upon hours on zomg ,pandadolphin and everywhere else non stop for months trying to save up for that 900k. Which by then will go up again.

item prices is ridiculous now. When I returned full time to gaia ( and became more involved) it was dec 08 after xmas. I was bed bound and needed something to kill time since tv was a bore.Back then I spotted a grunny and wanted to save up for it, Which at the time was 35k. I was on zomg for about 6 hours a day for 3-4 months trying to get gold for a decent avi (skittles items) and a grunny. by the time I had my avi made and a 35k saved up, the grunny was then 40k sad I feel bad for those kids , yes there is kids on here, who tries to save up for some doll without using cash.Some kid is prolly using their birthday money or allowance on rigs ffs. Im a grown woman so if I wanna spend my money on gaia thats me but gaian aint all adults.

MC and maybe,MAYBE ei is all gaia needs to run this place but not rigs and tank items. I'm dreading to see where this manga is going cuz I know it'll involve some damn cash item sad ,

One last thing I noticed, Gaia spends a lot of time on cash shop items and less on events and other user faves >.< What happened to our VD event? those ab libs aint an event. Last year, there was VD cards lollipops and the ab lib but valentines day nada,ever event seems to be a fail but their cash love is obsessive >.<

I got banned on my best account, I made it not anywhere near the way back, I've pretty much been told as well, that even if I am innocent, I'm not getting unbanned, because innocence is worthless to them, and if I am innocent, oh well, I was banned, so I am still considered guilty. They won't even LOOK INTO IT for me. They just told me. Oh well, too bad so sad. I know for a fact I never scammed anyone. I know I didn't. I KNOW. That I didn't. I want them to tell me who the hell I supposedly scammed. B|

I had the same problem!!

My sister's account was hacked a few years ago, when there was a problem at Subeta and they released a few usernames and passwords at certain website. Well, we reported the hacking and waited for a response.

And kept on waiting for two weeks. Finally, we couldn't stand it any more and asked about that report... and you know what they told us?? That the account had been banned for spamming in the forums.. WHILE IT WAS STILL HACKED, AND WE HAD THE REPORT AT HAND!!!

So, the account was in somebody's control. This person used the hacked account to spam (and sell everything my sister owned, the b*stard)... AND IT'S OUR FAULT??? WTF??

The conclusion is that Gaia doesn't give a sh*t about its users as long as the money keeps going in. If you get hacked or have any problem... then it's every user for himself. This is anarchy.
