My dad smokes pot every once in a while. He admitted it to me after our mom was jailed for trying to kill me after tripping the ******** out on meth and psychotics. He wanted me to know because he felt I deserved the truth.

Frankly, despite the pot use, my dad is probably the best dad I know. He has taken care of us all and kept us safe, fed, clothed and made sure we had what we needed. He never misses work and he takes care of his responsibilities.

My mom, well, could not.

Seems like a waste of time. Besides i live in a first world country, i dont have any serious problems.

Are serious problems a prerequisite to drug use?

it would make more sense if they were. I dont see much of a point doing it recreationally. I have other ways to entertain myself.

Problems in your life are the last reason you should turn to drugs, they aren't the answer and only make things worse, and because of that, they should only be used recreationally or medically- and in my opinion for some (drugs), not at all.

Mine did on occasion when they were younger, but they weren't potheads. Not that I know of, anyway.
My mom insists on me not doing pot because apparently it's different now than it was when she smoked it lol
Don't really know much about pot, but my mom has a tendency to pull 'facts' out of her a** when she doesn't want me doing something.

My father got my mother to try it, but she quit after her parents threatened to get her locked up. My father was -and probably still is- a major druggy though.

If you need a foreign substance to have fun i feel bad for you. Besides i like the feeling of being lucid at all times and remembering EVERYTHING. Im sure if i were to get high i would feel like i just skipped a small portion of my life.

yeah it does, im a teenager, yet i have raging horomones so my body has urges. However, i dont act on those urges.

I cant say the same for drugs, im not required to do them so i have zero interest in them.

My parents have said they haven't even tried it. Not sure if they're really telling the truth, but it wouldn't surprise me if they did.

I also don't see the connection between self control and people smoking weed. Smoking a bit of weed to ease a headache, because of cancer or just because you like the feeling doesn't seem to me like a lack of self control. Smoking because all your friends are doing it would be something I'd consider lack of self control though.

LOL no. My parents just aren't the type.
I've never asked if they've tried it. I'd assume so as they grew up in the 60s.
They don't have any issue with me smoking though.
