Nature is violent and dangerous. Regarding humanity, one tends to get what one expects when dealing with individuals. If you expect evil you will find it. IF you expect gooness you will find that, too.

One should expect humans to put themselves first because that generally makes far more evolutionary sense than generostiy.

This world does not exist without humans. They are not destroying it, all they do is creating worse and worse circumstances.
But indeed I feel you meant planet by ''world'' , if so that is different subject...

I haven't seen what makes humans inherently evil in the first place. Most of us are law abiding citizens not out to get our brothers. Many of us even join positive causes.
