We humans do deserve this rule, by the rule of nature. We have subjugated every living thing that could wipe us out. When nature tires of our existence she will squash us like the insignificant bugs we are. Stop being so vain You want to think our few hundred years of heavy industry will do anything? The worst that will happen is we'll kill ourselves off, the earth will fix itself and a new species will rise to dominance. Repeat. Nature is cruel and violent. Humans are tame. You ever seen what happens when two ant colonies meet? How about what happens to the prey of wolf packs? How about the senseless destruction that nature itself wreaks? Perhaps you should read up on nature and stop pretending humans are special. |

This is what some of you peopla do not understand......we are animals too,
we are just a litle bit advanced and were the ******** destroyers of all the we see, touch,hear,love,crave...anything for no ******** reason is the enemy. We kill ourselfs,we think of ourselves as something incredible,the incredible thing is that were lucky we havent killed are intire spicies! stare |

I don't think it's because were animals but rather because we FORGET that we are. We believe ourselves to be superior to the point of pure uncontainable arrogance. Animals seek survival and to thrive but nature itself allows balance,when a predator kills off large amounts of prey they run low on food and then begin to die off with less predators the prey again thrives and this continues on as long as there is no great interference or natural change which simply introduces a new predator or prey.
Human are able to "rise" above other creatures but neglect the understanding of balance thinking that even if all is destroyed we will still be okay because were just so damn awesome...I mean what the hell kinda logic is that.Humans are animals but we have forgotten that and forgotten that we are part of life and nature and something bigger than us. |

I agree with most of the statements here. There is no 'dominant' species on Earth, we only perceive ourselves as dominant. We cannot control animals because we are ones ourselves. We don't 'deserve' this Earth because there is no one being that has an opinion good enough to go above the rest of ours. We are simply here so there is nothing to deserve.
