Welcome to Gaia! ::

do corporations go to jesus when they die? if so, can they become angels and watch over the economy? and why haven't we sainted some of them yet
no, but when i was crazy I thought companies were groups of souls. Hence the word company fulfilling two definitions at once.

Do people have souls? Do people go to Jesus when they die? Can they become angels and watch over their loved ones? And why do we feel the need to "saint" some of them?

No, but legally they can be treated as if they did. Great legal loophole if you need a little extra cash for your second yacht.

so maybe you got a sign from god that companies are better than a soul, they have a lot of them. maybe we should give them more tax breaks idk

No, no, no, don't know.

Also irrelevant as corporations are not people.

It's only irrelevant if you assume that people are more likely to have a soul than corporations.

...no.

It's irrelevant to ask whether corporations have souls. Because if souls exist (they don't), corporations, not being sapient, would not have them anyway. So it's a moot point.

Which you didn't get.

What about Pinocchio? What about Pygmalion's Statue? What about How about "the dust of the ground" and later that dust's rib? Being sapient has little to do with soul. Gods seem to not care about these details.

Pinocchio is a fictional story.

As are the tales of Pygmalion and Genesis, fyi. Doesn't really matter what "gods" think when they don't exist.

In that case, I am still about as likely to have a soul as GE since soul is a fictional concept not constrained by banalities of organic matter and DNA.

Hence my answers that no, neither people nor corporations have souls.

I wouldn't presume to argue with that. In fact, I don't think I ever did.

I would tend to disagree with you, but then, that's just me.

On what basis? I simply pointed out that asking whether corporations have souls is about as useful as asking if humans have them.
