Welcome to Dirty Little Secrets!

Hello friend, and welcome to Dirty Little Secrets.
We all have secrets. Sometimes, you may feel like your secrets are putting you under a strain and you may feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders. You may feel like you have so many problems that you just want to scream.
Let DLS be the place where you can let out that scream.
DLS is a safe haven, where you can vent and rid yourself of your secrets, worries and stress.

The original idea of DLS was conceived by a Gaian known as Desirface. She was inspired by the genius of Frank Warren, the creator of Post Secret, and created a thread in which she and others could express their thoughts and emotions in a safe and non-threatening atmosphere.
In time, the thread expanded and grew into something much more.

Nowadays, almost five years later, DLS is a unified and supportive community of people all dealing with their daily dilemmas in a comfortable and non-judgemental environment. Desirface is no longer part of the community, but a team of moderators continue her legacy, and the thread has stood the test of time and is here for you.

Hey DLSers, just wanted to warn you guys that come Monday, there will be mods trialling, three of them.
They will be posting in this colour and their posts will be tagged with “- Trial mod” like last time, their names won't be revealed until they have finished their trialship to reduce any conflict that may occur.
Please treat them with respect, they are here to help jump start the thread again.

Hopefully with these new additions we will be able to post the mod application forms because now we will have the hands to help.

Welcome to the new DLS thread!

Now, there is quite a few things to cover in this announcement and I do hope you all can bear with us as we get it all out.

Firstly, I would like to welcome you all to the new thread and we hope that you all find this one as comfortable as the last, we know that we we hit a new record with the last thread as being the longest running and we hope to replicate that in this thread, perhaps even beat the old thread.

For those of you who have not been added to Faceophilia-2, or just have somehow missed what's happened, I would just like to explain the current situation; Faceophilia, as most if not all of you should know by now was hacked. Since contacting the site mods has yet to yield any results, and having waited long enough for them to get back to us, we have opened this new thread so that you all can post without the confusion of bumpers, trolls and newcomers who are yet to read our rules.

Secondly, there's a few links that we'd like to once again share out:

The DLS Voicebox; you all should know this one by now but I just want to reiterate what we use it for and what we would like to see in it.

The DLS Voicebox is a place where you can voice your opinions and suggestions on what you would like to see in DLS. This is an especially helpful tool for us moderators because we'd love to hear you ideas and put them into play.

Please do not confuse this with the complaint forms.

The Voicebox is not for complaints, reporting of breaking of rules or contesting any warnings or bans you may receive.

Please be aware that any of the above will be deleted.

The Complaint Forms; this is what we want you to use for all of your complaints, reporting of rule breaking and contesting any warnings or bans you may receive.
Now, as of right now we only have one moderator who sees these, and that is Sammiifayse. This is so that you will feel comfortable alerting her if you want your complaint to stay anonymous, but receive updates on any progress on your complaint.
We do urge you to use these, they will help us crack down on any rule breaking, any warnings that may have been mistakenly given out and complaints that you may have on any newly instated rules/ anything that you do not like about the thread that you feel needs to be brought up.

If, however, you are not comfortable with Sammiifayse, please feel free to PM any of the listed active moderators, they will handle your complaint and adhere to the expectations that Sammiiifayse has set down for handling of said complaint.

The DLS Address Book; as many of you may know, Kayli made this guild up a long while ago and now with the new thread she is giving it a clean out so that we can start over again in there.
So, if any of you would like to get to know DLSers on a more personal level, feel free to join and jot your address down.


The DLS Hangout Thread; This is a socialisation thread. It was created so DLSers that wished to just chat, muck around and have fun with one another and what not, things that generally were not permitted within DLS itself, were able to do so. It's there purely for the fun of it


DLS Poll Suggestions; This is for all of you who have ideas of what songs you would like to see in the DLS poll, every third poll we'll put up a DLS suggestion and we'll credit it to you as well so keep your eye out for your name.
We change the poll every 700 votes.


DLS Quote of the Day Suggestions; this is where you get to suggest quotes that you think will lend some wise words to DLSers, or that you think would just be something comforting or inspiring to read. The DLS quote of the day suggestion will be every Sunday, so keep an eye out on that for both your name and your quote because once again, it will be credited to you.

That said, please be mindful of what you suggest to be put up as a quote. Make it something somewhat more serious and deep as opposed to something for laughs.

DLS Weight Loss Thread; This thread, created by JADEZILLA, is a support system for those DLSers who want to lose weight or just want to improve their lifestyle with healthy eating and exercise.

Now, every single link that you see in this announcement will be linked down the bottom of the DLS introduction post, so you will be able to find these once this announcement is out of circulation.

Also. As some of you may remember in one of the former DLS threads we had a list of DLSer's birthdays, and featured Happy Birthday's to them on the appropriate day. We'd like to bring this back into this DLS. Anyone that would like to be a part of this Birthday Calendar could you please PM your birthday to the Faceophilia-2 account so we can get the ball rolling on this project.

Okay, lastly, we want to force a point about this new thread.
This DLS thread will be more DLSer involved, so we really urge you to give your input and help rebuild this community.
So, anyone who has not added this account, we once again ask you to befriend it. This is not only so we have everyone on the books, but to also make things easier in regards to sending out important information. It's probable in the future that major announcements will be PMed around to DLSers as well as posted in the thread so as to try to ensure that everyone reads it. So please, we urge everyone to have the moderator account in their friends.
