I know it was brought up before this post, but i think trust is a big issue, and not only that, it's misleading about how you would present yourself in a real life situation- Say you eventually meet that person, or even previously associate with the other participant in real life. I don't think it can be argued that cybering and physical sex are two different things, but wouldn't you venture to guess on a relationship in which you've been included as a partner in a vaguely sexual and immensely taboo act? And, first to satisfy the ever present point, it can't be argued that maybe three out of ten cyber-intimacy participants are just people exploring their own sexually and, to put it bluntly, "get their rocks off" with someone else, randomly or by selection (and whatever that particular selection be based on, but it really makes no difference one or the other, that is to say, "those without malcontent" ) are incredibly less spoken for than the run of the mill lonely person who's got huge social paralysis and a horrible case of acne, and runs around toting these things in real life and shoving it in people's faces as actually intimate encounters with a fair amount of meaning. Again, not saying it never means anything, i'm only pointing out the image people have come to represent Cybering as.
And while there's always two sides to every story, it's maybe two to a thousand in this case that some drama addicted facerolling socially inept and underconfident (or perhaps irritatingly optimistic, loudspoken or boisterous respectively and consecutively,) teenager, possibly with ridiculously albino flesh or a debilitating skin condition, (also for mention the OBESE.) are the sort that acquaintances, friends, or family members come into knowledge of the act of "Cybering." I guess you could excuse it as a sexual act, and as we all know, the only weird sex is no sex, But i don't want to sit next to a dominatrix on the ride home, dig? |
